Bethany the Doll, Part 2
🕑 Added 2022-03-31 15:45:16 +0000 UTCMadison's room was eye-wateringly pink. Even when she had been a little girl herself, Bethany had never had a room that looked so stereotypically girly. Disney Princesses smiled from nearly every available surface: the bedspread, the posters on the walls, the many shelves of toys, the pillow cases, the rug, the lampshades. The only indication that a grown women lived here was the scale. All the toys were over-sized. There was a bright yellow teddy-bear sitting on the bed that would have been five feet tall if it were standing, and the cloth diaper it wore was large enough to fit most adults. There was a plastic table beside the bed surrounded by plastic chairs and set with a plastic teaset, and if anything, they were all a little larger than their real-life counterparts. The four-poster bed was King-sized and covered with a massive pink satin canopy, and only an absurdly rich family would have assigned such a large room to the small girl that Madison evidently thought that she was. Bethany couldn't help but be a little envious of her new owner's luxurious existence, but she was much more concerned about her own circumstances.
“Welcome to your new home, Bethany!” cheered Madison as she dragged Bethany into the huge room and closed the door behind them. “This is my bed, and this is Mr. Huggy-Bear! He's a little upset, cuz usually he sleeps with me, but now that you're here, he'll have to sit on the shelf like he used to! Introduce yourself nicely, Bethany!”
Bethany felt her face flush. Had she really just implied that they would sleep together? “I...I, uh...” she stammered. It was simply too much to process all at once.
Madison put her hands on her hips and shot Bethany an annoyed look “Bethany...be a good girl and introduce yourself to Mr. Huggy-Bear! I want you to be good friends with all my other toys. You don't want to be bad, do you?”
Bethany started. The idea that Madison thought of her as one of her toys made her feel...odd. It was even odder to realize that she was absolutely right. This woman owned her, and she could play with her, sleep with her, and perhaps even punish her if she chose to. Bethany knew that she was now entirely dependent on Madison's good graces. She would...have to please her owner. That thought made her heart race. An hour earlier, Bethany would never have guessed that she could feel so intimidated by a grown woman who still wore training pants, but here she was none-the-less. “No, no! Sorry...er, Ma'am.” she turned to the stuffed animal, lying mute and impassive on the bed. “Hello...Mr. Huggy-Bear. My name is Bethany...p-pleasure to meet you.” For good measure, she grabbed the diapered toy's shapeless paw and gave it a polite shake. Madison nodded her approval. “Good girl, Bethany! I'm sure you two will be great friends! Now, this is Ballroom Dancer Barbie...”
Madison proceeded to introduce Bethany to one inanimate object after another. She shook hands with dozens of Barbies of various professions, the casts of several children's movies and TV shows, as well as practically every form of animal life ever to be represented with fleece and polyester stuffing. Bethany realized with growing unease that as far as Madison was concerned, she was meeting her new peer group. She was now one of Madison' possessions, just like the silly-looking Disney castle on the shelf or the huge plastic teapot on the table. Bethany grew more and more worried as the ridiculous ritual proceeded. She had been operating under the assumption that this was all some kind of bizarre dream, but as the minutes ticked past, nothing around her showed any sign of fading away. What if she was stuck here for good? What kind of life could she have under such circumstances?
“Now that we've all been introduced, lets get some new clothes on you!” announced Madison, once Bethany had finished shaking the tentacle of her purple stuffed squid. “I wanna play Dress-Up! Then we can have a tea party!”
The mention of tea made Bethany realize that she hadn't had anything to drink since before her jog. She wondered when she would next have the opportunity to get a drink. She considered asking Madison, but she wasn't sure how the strange, childish woman would react. Maybe it would be safer to get a drink from a faucet when no one was looking.
Madison opened a laughably spacious walk-in closet and began perusing her vast collection of clothes.
“I wanna wear this one, or this, oooh, I love this one...”
Bethany crossed her arms as Madison put her indecisiveness on display, picking and then discarding one girly pink outfit after another. It was cute, in a weird sort of way, but Bethany was far too stressed-out to enjoy it.
“How about this one? Do you like it, Bethany?” Madison held up a simple black dress. Bethany had to do a double-take when she saw it. In a closet full of bright pink princess outfits, gauzy fairy-wings, and plastic jewelry, it stood out like an MnM in a bowl of raisins. If anything, it made Bethany suspicious that this entire “indecisively perusing outfits” skit had been a little joke at her expense.
“It's very...uh...mature.” stammered Bethany.
“Yep! I wanna look like a big grown-up lady for our elegant tea party!” said Madison. She handed the dress to Bethany. “Hold this for me. Good girl.”
Bethany undid the buttons on her jeans and began puling them down. Bethany blushed heavily and turned her back.
“Of course she doesn't have any issue undressing in front of me.” thought Bethany ruefully. “I'm just one of her toys, after all.”
That same odd feeling tickled it's way through Bethany's body again. She found herself turning her head to look, but caught herself in time.
“Help me put it on, Bethany!” It sounded like a request, but Bethany knew it was really an order. She turned. Madison was wearing nothing but her star-studded Barnie training-panties. Bethany felt her eyes being dragged toward her new owner's sizable chest. There wasn't anything girlish about those.
Madison raised her arms so that Bethany could slide the dress over her. Bethany's face was beautifully camouflaged for the environment. Madison adjusted the dress around herself, and added a pair of elbow-length white gloves, a string of white plastic pearls to accentuate her v-shaped neckline, a golden plastic comb to her hair, and a pair of high-heeled black shoes to her feet. The transformation was startling. Apart from the plastic accessories, Madison now looked like she was ready for an elegant dinner party, although some nylons and a bra would probably have been advisable.
“Your turn!” cheered Madison, totally undercutting her appearance with her over-excited demeanor. Without preamble, she began stripping Bethany of her sweat-dampened underwear.
“I...wait!” Bethany could do nothing to stop Madison's hands as they casually invaded her personal space. Her owner had every right to take her clothing, and was under no obligation to ever replace them. If Madison wanted her to be naked, she would be. There was nothing more to be said about it.
“Now let's see...how about this one for you?” asked Madison, retrieving something from a small drawer. Bethany gawked. In one hand, Madison held up a banana-yellow sundress, with a white pinafore. It was sized for a doll, no more than eight inches across. In her other hand was a tiny pair of white panties, with lace trim. Bethany doubted that she would be able to get her big toe into one of the leg-holes without tearing them. She snorted a laugh at the sight. She couldn't help it. The absurdity of her situation had long since gone beyond a joke, and now it had reached the level at which she could either laugh or lose her mind.
“I don't think I can wear that!” she said through choking laughter.
Madison smirked. “Well, MY clothes aren't going to fit you, silly! This is left over from my last dolly. I'll tell my Mommy to take us to the toy store later so you can pick out something you like, but this will have to do for now. Lift your foot for me.”
Madison sighed, but she had no choice. She lifted her leg obediently. She felt Madison pull the tiny piece of lacy fabric up to her ankle. To her shock, she felt hardly any resistance. There wasn't any resistance on the other foot either. In seconds, Bethany felt Madison adjust her new panties into place around her waist. They fit perfectly, neither tight nor loose. The fabric seemed to have miraculously multiplied, like the loaves and the fishes. Bethany felt the soft satin that now comfortably cradled her butt cheeks.
“That is...some trick.” she whispered.
“Arms up!” commanded her owner. Bethany obeyed. This time, she watched the tiny doll's dress carefully, trying the spot the moment when the transformation occurred. Even when she was wearing it, she could not say when or even if it had changed size, even though it also now fit her perfectly. Madison completed her outfit with lacy socks, black mary-janes, and a string of plastic pearls, all of which could have fit comfortably in a measuring cup before Madison put them on her.
“You look great!” said Madison, fondly giving Bethany a proprietary pat on the behind. Taking her hand, she dragged Bethany out of the closet and sat her in one of the plastic chairs around the table. With identical motions, she sat Mr. Huggy-Bear in another chair, and her purple squid in another. Madison seated herself opposite Bethany.
“Tea, Miss Bethany?” asked Madison, with an exaggerated snooty tone and a nose pointed toward the ceiling. Bethany nodded nervously, wishing she could have some actual tea about now, but too frightened to ask for any.
“Manners, Bethany.” whispered Madison in a warning tone.
“Yes, please...Miss Madison.” said Bethany, displaying all her teeth and pushing the silly-looking plastic cup and saucer toward her “host”. Madison stood and solemnly filled the empty plastic cup from the equally empty teapot, and handed it back to her. “Careful, it's hot.”
She proceeded to fill the cups of Mr. Huggy-Bear and the squid, before serving herself, in accordance with proper tea-time decorum.
“One lump, or two?” she asked, picking up the sugar bowl, which was full of plastic cubes, and always would be.
“Uh...two please.” said Bethany sheepishly. Another round of miming followed. Non-existent lumps of sugar were added to empty plastic cups. Madison asked the same question of her two stuffed animals, and carefully carried out their unheard responses.
Finally, Madison lifted her empty cup, blew into it, and daintily took a sip. Knowing that doing anything except playing along would be folly, Bethany followed suit with her own cup, noticing too late that the empty cup was now heavier than it had been a moment earlier. When she unconvincingly mimed taking a sip from her plastic cup, Madison felt piping hot liquid pour down her chin onto her dress. It was invisible, but undeniably hot and wet. She squeaked with fright and dropped her cup. It went clattering across the floor, but not before emptying its imaginary contests into her lap. Bethany jumped up from her seat.
“Hot! Hot!” she shrieked. In truth, the invisible liquid was only about as hot as slightly uncomfortable bathwater, but the shock of the sensation made Bethany cry out in fright. She patted the fabric of her dress. It felt warm and wet, despite looking absolutely dry. She could even feel the invisible steam wafting off of it, and her skin felt lightly red underneath.
“Bethany!” said Madison, rising from her own seat. “Are you okay?”
She took a hand-towel and began dabbing at Bethany's dress. The feeling of wetness instantly vanished.
“I'll make it all better. Don't worry.” she whispered.
Madison pulled her into a gentle hug. The slight burns faded into nothingness. “You have to blow on it, you silly little thing!” admonished Madison with a smile. She pinched Bethany's cheek affectionately and sat her back in her chair. Instead of retrieving her cup, Madison filled a sippy cup with non-existent tea and placed it in front of Bethany instead. She was sure to blow into it before affixing the top. “There. I guess drinking like a grown-up is a little too hard for you. That was my fault, really.”
Bethany frowned at the implication, but curiosity soon overtook her, and she lifted the little spout to her lips. She drew the warm, sweet liquid into her mouth. It was absolutely delicious, especially given how thirsty she was. Soon the empty cup began to actually feel empty, and she handed back her cup to be refilled. Madison retrieved a plastic cake from one of the shelves, mimed carving off a slice of it with a few saws of a plastic fork, and handed the seemingly empty plate to Bethany. Bethany thanked her politely, and began eating the invisible slice of cake with her plastic fork. The invisible cake was exquisitely sweet and buttery in her mouth, the texture soft and moist. Bethany had never tasted anything half as good. She asked for seconds, and then thirds. Madison played the gracious host, and generously supplied her with all the non-existent pastry she could stuff down.
Bethany felt marvelously full. She wondered if imaginary cake could actually sustain her. She wondered if she should pretend to eat some salad soon, or she might end up putting on imaginary weight. She giggled at the thought.
“Good girl. Now that you've had something to eat, I expect you have a lot of questions for me.” said Madison, her elegant tone no longer a mere childish imitation.
Bethany started again. Madison sounded nothing like a little girl pretending to be a grown-up, and every bit like the grown woman she actually was.
