Next Video Topic: 2-Stroke Engines
🕑 Added 2023-11-12 18:57:02 +0000 UTC2-stroke engines have been heavily requested since the Engine Simulator prototype was first revealed last year. Well, they have finally become a reality. Using ES3D's advanced fluid simulation, I've implemented a functional 2-stroke engine simulation in the ES3D demo program. I'm keeping the sound secret for now but I will say this: it works well and the 2-stroke idle is very accurately replicated by the simulation. A demo will be made available to all Patrons when my next video releases in a week or so.

For the vehicle simulation, you can approximate that in the demo using a very heavy high flywheel. It is still missing the clutch and transmission though, so I might add that at some point

Only thing is that I might have to go to ES2D for transmissions and vehicle sim for now, since ES3D doesn't have that part yet (4 stroke only I think for ES2D)

With the demo, I think I'll be able to make simple dirtbike engines 🙂 (Single cylinder 2 and 4 stroke, from 50cc to maybe a 450 4 stroke or a 500 2 stroke? 😉)

Eventually yes, it will be when this is implemented in the final ES3D interface. For the demo though it'll be restricted to 1 cylinder engines
