Status Update - March 2023

One of my professional contracts also has been concluded this month - DeathKeep was released last week on Steam and GOG 🙂
Gran Turismo cheats
Earlier this month, I updated the Trigger Sensitivity cheats for Gran Turismo games with a new finding from Aero_, allowing for even more input precision.
PCSX2
- Make Game Properties accessible from the toolbar - a UI change to make Game Properties more easily accessible, and make it clearer for the user when they edit global vs game settings.
- VMManager: Fix "X widescreen patches loaded" text when loading from files - self-explanatory title 🙂
DuckStation
- Make Game Properties accessible from the toolbar - backport of the same change submitted to PCSX2
mkpsxiso
- Fix building images with big directories - a fix for mkpsxiso failing to create ISOs with directories containing over 36 files.
What's next?
This time, I have two goals for nearby future:
- Release a SilentPatch for Metal Gear Rising - this code has been idling for a while, and I received a PR contribution to it recently. It's time I spend some time updating this codebase for the 2023 standard and just get it out of the door.
- SilentPatch for Midnight Club 2 - recently I've been asked to troubleshoot a bug where the game would softlock during saving, but only on high-frequency CPUs (my 3.2GHz i9-12900K was unaffected). I seem to have found a fix for that, so it probably makes sense to wrap it up and release it as a smaller patch.
