🕑 Added 2025-06-02 12:09:16 +0000 UTCheyo, okay so update on the animation. i didn't reach the deadline i was hoping to reach, which sucks, but i prefer it this way. the deadline did serve its purpose in lighting that fire under my ass so that i would get the project started, and i could have achieved it. it just wouldn't have been anything im proud of OR anything id have learned much from. the voice work and camera angles were finished when i had them scheduled to be, but when it came to animating the characters- one in particular- i just couldn't nail down or figure it out. i have 30 minutes of reference id recorded trying to figure out how they should move or act, more than half of that reference being for just the first 2-3 lines.
For all of my previous animations, there was never really a full 'character' i was trying to emulate. so when i had to do that for this particular animation, needless to say it kicked my ass for over a week. I couldve just animated the first things that came to my mind, but at that point itd just be a mechanical practice. There wouldn't have been any acting, just pantomimes and uninteresting handwaving.
when the animations finished ill talk all about the process but i dont want to do that when im only halfway through it. i just finished animating the first shot for that one character and im happy with it. cheers to scopecreep, anyways happy [you know what you are] month bibibibi! blows up into a shrapnel of gay confetti
