The IOL Minis library of bases
🕑 Added 2023-02-08 17:54:40 +0000 UTCWhats that, two updates in a row? Yes it would appear so!
Anyways, here is a little something different I have been working on.
While developing some new sets of detailed bases for my range, I had to go back and design some wellbuilt bases to work from. In the process of doing that, I decided it would be a nice thing to establish a living repository of all types of wargaming bases. You never know when you might need a spare 80mm base for a project..
To begin with, I have designed a set of round and oval bases with sizes suitable for the more commonly played wargames. I will continue to add to this library periodically with more base sizes, shapes and types.
The bases included come in solid versions, inset versions, and hollow/ magnetized versions. The hollow bases are cut for 5x2mm magnets.
The bases all have a lighty textured top finish, and I have placed the supports on this surface so it hides any marks from the supports and ensures a clean, plain finish to the bottom edge of the bases.
The library of bases is available now in the Wanderer and Warlord folders.

( PS: Supporting all those bases is a big undertaking, and I am currently working through about 5-10 of them a day, and will be updating the listing along the way.)

That's funny, because I used your basic 25mm base to make a STL 'cookie cutter'. I use it on all my other bases to make them adhere to one standard, since everyone's bases are slightly different. So this is awesome because it gives me a whole set of 'standards'. Right on man!
