BTC Liquidity signal: new indicator to help us start/stop bots available on Discord
🕑 Added 2021-04-14 13:02:00 +0000 UTCI've been working on a signal to help us decide when to start and stop our bots.
Recently the PI Cycle indicator grabbed loads of attention as it triggered signalling a big dump of BTC. Many influencers publicly posted their opinions and the majority of them agreed that the signal was invalid in this occasion.
But after inspecting how this signal is implemented I figured that they originally used the symbol BLX or liquid index for BTC. Interesting!
So I decided to make an indicator based on this symbol that could still help us to stay away from days of high and highest risks of the market dumping heavily.
As you can see in the chart below there are 3 events that can trigger from this new signal:
- STOP - MODERATE RISK - It's a moderate risk signal. From here conservatives can stop some of their bots. As you can see in the past 6 months it calls out the top 50%. I'm not going to use this to stop all my bots, but maybe to reduce some exposure and also to stop any buy-the-top bot that are still active (buy-the-top is any bot using any signal similar to TV STRONG BUY or BUY). In the chart it appears as "STOP" in red.
- STOP - POSSIBLE TOP - This is great time to take profits or switch off some bots. This is not an area to trade if you don't like red bags. Some bots that buy the bottom with a LARGE deviation can possibly take big profits during these dumps, but this is not compatible with all trader profiles. In the chart it appears as "HIGH" in blue.
- START - This one fires when there's already been some correction and so we can start considering resuming some bots, or funding new bots, etc. I will use it personally as the time to go shopping around for new opportunities: new bots or new coins, adding deals, adding funds, etc. In the chart it appears as "RUN" in green.
The signal has been enabled and it should fire on Discord as soon as it triggers again.
Lambo VIP signal is using this information to dodge bad deals already so it doesn't require manually observing and reacting. All other bots require us to manually manage things accordingly.
In the future I might consider a new VIP signal (like Petro) based on the BTC liquidity index where you can subscribe all the bot ids that you want from a single 3commas account. Similarly to how we do VIP signals with the submission form etc, and then all those bots that you subscribe would get managed automatically by this signal.
We could ask you for something like:
- list all the bot ids that you'd want to be automatically stopped
- list all the bot ids that you'd want to be automatically stopped and panic sold
And then the signal would do that for you while you go for holidays :)
When? soon! let's see how the indicator behaves in the next weeks if it's reliable enough, why not!

Not sure if it's voluntary but there is an spelling mistake at "Indicator" ("Inidicartor") on the discord messages. Looking forward to TV integration into our bots as close/cancel deals/bots as mentioned on zoom. Thanks!
Amazing work! I’d love to build apon this. I’ve been working to make software which interacts with the 3commas API automating much of the grunt work with the bots.
Amazing work! Thank you!
The channel is on discord, the signal hasn’t fired yet
Awesome man!! Really unbelievable work!
thanks Kent

EPIC! Was thinking of asking you to do something similar. Amazing work as usual. 🙏
For what’s tiers are the Vip signals?
I don’t see this on discord :/ is this the warning channel?
