A Bunny's Favorite Tape
🕑 Added 2022-08-14 00:29:05 +0000 UTCTwo college freshmen are out shopping at a local flea market, looking for a good buy to sell online. What they find will be much more interesting than that…
A Bunny's Favorite Tape
Sammie was losing their mind.
The bunny had been wandering around the flea market with his boyfriend for fifteen minutes and it was obvious there was nothing of interest to him there. Most of it was kids toys, old antique furniture and books that were published two decades ago for thirty cents each or ten for a dollar.
“Come on Snazzy, I’m booooorrreed”
The dragon turned round to look at him and sighed “Yeah, today has been a bust huh? Can’t find anything interesting anywhere.”
The two started walking back towards the group of stalls positioned at the front. Holding hands the whole way, the two freshmen had met and instantly fallen for each other. Now they were virtually inseparable, living in an apartment just a quick walk from campus and enjoying their new found freedom. Barkdale College was affordable, well funded and an excellent place to get a degree.
And find love apparently.
“Aww, you two are precious!”
They both looked over to a stall they’d passed over on the way in. They couldn’t remember it being there, so either it had arrived late or replaced something else. Either way both of them were drawn to the source of the voice, a tall doe behind the counter dressed in a bright white coat that shimmered in the sunlight.
“Thank you!” Sammie hugged into Snazzy “What have you got? I don’t think we saw…”
“Oh no dearie, I only set up in the last half-hour. Had a terrible time getting in, you see.” she motioned over to her shelves of items “Please, take a look. I don’t know if anything will appeal to such bright students, but maybe there’ll be something a little nostalgic?”
Nostalgic would’ve been a nice word for the items on display. Dusty kids toys like the rest of the market were scattered about alongside racks of kids books.
“Well umm…” Snazzy grimaced a little “I guess the plush toys are kinda cute” he picked up a little bumblebee that had seen better days and turned it over in his hands.
Sammie was looking over some of the racks. On the top were books, but at the bottom were some more interesting items that brought back some very clear memories.
“Snazzy look! There’s some VHS tapes down here!”
The bunny started running their hand along the top to clear some of the dust and get a look at the cardboard covers around some of the black tapes. Most were typical animated movies from the nineties, nothing the two of them didn’t already have at home on a digital medium. Sammies attention was grabbed towards the end, when a few TV show episodes were kept to one side.
“Hey! I don’t remember Barney releasing anything on VHS!”
Snazzy leaned down next to her “I didn’t think so either… Wait… this looks weird.”
Sammie shrugged “What? It’s just a VHS?”
“Yeah but “Drool and Push”? I don’t think I remember…”
“Oh! Those are some older tapes.” the woman piped up “You can’t find this stuff anywhere these days. Was meant to help young’uns, helped them relax.”
Sammie raised an eyebrow “Wait… how much is it?”
The woman looked over at a sheet of paper “It’s just one of my VHS’ so a dollar is good”
The bunny grinned and grabbed Snazzys arm, turning away from the woman and lowering their voice “You hear that. It’s a rare tape! We can probably sell it for a crazy profit!”
Snazzy gave a little concerned look, adjusting his glasses “I dunno, isn’t it gonna be weird to explain if we can’t sell it?”
Samme shrugged “Explain to who? It’ll just end up in a box somewhere for a while until a collector grabs it.”
The dragon didn't look wholly convinced but smiled and nodded “Ok, but it’s your dollar.”
“Done!” Sammie jumped back around and pulled the single bill out of their pocket “Here ya go lady, one dollar!”
“Oh thank you sweetie! It came with this as well, make sure to take it!” she handed over a small white cassette tape, similarly marked and a bit battered up “Pretty sure it all still works…”
Sammie grinned back as Snazzy as she bagged the extra acquisition and turned back towards the entrance to the market “Well, that was a nice way to end it right?”
The dragon shrugged “Sure hun” he smiled brightly “You’re happy, that’s what matters”
They heard the lady behind them audibly “Awww” and blushed together as they turned onto the main road and headed back towards the college. As the sightlines of the market passed out of their vision, Sammie thought she felt the bag suddenly get a little heavier….

“SNAZZY!”
“What? I didn’t buy them! Why would I buy…”
The bunny’s face was bright red, almost as red as Snazzy’s scales. They were holding up a package, white and red and covered in cute little cartoons.
“DIAPERS! HUGE DIAPERS!”
“Sammie, I can see what they are…”
The bunny’s cheeks expanded as they tried to hold in their apparent disgust “Well, I didn’t buy them! Even if they’re clearly for bunnies!”
That elicited a chuckle from the dragon “Well I mean… maybe the marketers find bunnies as cute as I do…”
Sammie blushed and pouted back at him “Well… that’s not…” they put the package down and turned around, melodramatically crossing their arms “I’m not taking them out to the trash. Not risking anyone seeing me”
“You really think anyone would think you need…” he read the package again “Extra absorbency, double thickness diapers?”
“No but…”
Snazzy chuckled again “I’ll throw them out after I‘ve come back from work” he picked up the pack and put them next to the door.
“You’d better” they took off their shirt and sat down on the bed “I’ve gotta make sure that video tape works before I find out if it’s worth anything”
“The library should have a VHS and cassette player for all those avant-garde art films no one watches”
The two of them giggled “Good idea!”
Snazzy winked as he opened the door, grabbing his keys again from the side. “I’ll be back after my shift, I’ll grab some food on the way back.”
Sammie nodded as they went through the bags looking for the tape “Sure!”

An hour later, Sammie found themselves pulling the various other knick-knacks to one side to find the VHS and cassette tape from the market. The whole thing felt so intriguing to them that they couldn’t think about anything else all day. Well, apart from the bizarre pack of diapers that had been left unceremoniously on the floor and whose bunny model was staring back at them from the front.
“Ugh… Stupid prank Snazzy…”
They plugged in the devices and took the tape from the bag, turning it over and reading the back again
Drool and push with Barney is the perfect musical for your little one that features traditional songs and fun new hypnotic musical arrangements that encourage interaction and audience participation.
Guaranteed to make your baby giggle, drool, dance and love their full diapers!”
Sammie felt their eyebrows raising at each part of the description. Hypnosis? Audience participation? Something seemed very off.
“Let’s just get it tested and then I can sell it.” they said to themselves, pulling the tape from the cardboard shell and putting it into the player. As the screen flickered into life with the press of the play button, the music started blaring out from the surround sound speakers the two of them used.
Barney is a dinosaur from our imagination…
Sammie could feel themselves humming along to the lyrics almost instinctively. Like some long repressed memory coming to the fore, the tune of yankee doodle and the saccharine lyrics made them feel instantly childish. A little giggly even.
Barney can be your friend too if you just make believe him!
Sammie giggled to themselves. This was certainly a heavy nostalgia trip, a big smile forming on their face as the TV screen flipped to show the episode title.
DIAPERS ARE THE BEST
Sammie’s head turned. That didn’t sound like a normal title card. Curiosity now fully piqued, they sat down in front of the TV to watch the rest of the episode.
The plot was simple enough. Barney was in a daycare, all his dinosaur friends were diapered and each one would come up to Barney in turn, hugging him as they came up to the changing table. Each time he’d give them some reassuring little line, patting their bottom as he lifted them to change the diapers they were all wearing.
“Diapers are your best friend! You should wear them all the time!”
“You’d have been so soggy without your diapers! But they’re always here for you!”
“Barney doesn’t mind if you’re a little stinky, your diapers are there to keep you safe and happy!”
Sammie felt themselves rocking from side to side. This was really rather cute in its own way.
As the first episode started coming to a close, Barney turned to the screen.
“So remember, Barney says diapers are the best! Wear diapers all the time and you’ll be safe and happy!”
The ending credits seemed different from what Sammie remembered. Barney spiraled in and out while that line repeated. Initially they thought the tape had got stuck, but eventually the screen faded and the second episode of the tape began to start.
This time the theme song didn’t start up straight away. Instead, Barney walked onto the screen, dancing along with other dinosaurs all of whom were in oversized costume diapers.
“Wear diapers all the time! Wear diapers all the time!”
Sammie looked over towards the pack of diapers by the door. Maybe this was the audience participation the episodes wanted. Babies would be in the diapers already, but Sammie felt like they should get into one too.
After all… shouldn’t they wear diapers all the time?
Crawling over to the pack they pulled it open and immediately felt a rush of giggling come to the fore. This could be fun! There were ten or so in the pack but even one was a massive, thick pillow to the bunny.
The screen was still going with Barney repeating the mantra. It was still audible to the bunny as they lay down and pushed the back of the diaper under their bottom. They giggled again as they squirmed on top of it, imagining Barney reassuring them that these diapers were here for them, just as he’d done to all the kids.
They heard the music stop from the intermission as they managed to get the four massive tapes secured around their front. The babyish designs of carrots and little diapered bunnies elicited another giggle from Sammie as they crawled back to the TV, gazing at the screen as they waited for the second episode to start.
“GOOD LITTLE GOO GOO’S!”
Sammie clapped their hands as the theme song started up again, their humming turning into a full on sing along until Barney walked onto screen.
This time, Barney was with Baby Bop. They were dressed in an oversized diaper, their thumb in their mouth.
“Baby Bop! What’s the matter?” The dinosaur's sing-song voice made Sammie giggle again involuntarily, their head bobbing from side to side.
““Barney, I gosh to…”
“Oh Baby Bop, you know you can’t talk with your thumb in your mouth! You get drool everywhere!”
He was right, the green dinosaur was visibly getting little droplets down their chest as their drool went down the side of their mouth.
“Bush Barneeey…!”
“Baby Bop, you don’t need to talk! I love you when you have your thumb in your mouth! After all, you’re just a baby!”
Sammie looked at their thumb. Barney loved Baby Bop if she had her thumb in her mouth. And they had a diaper on like a baby…
The bunny put their thumb in their mouth and instantly felt a sense of warmth throughout their body. It was like a sauna without the harshness of the heat rushing over them. A warm blanket of comfort so good that the thought of removing her digit disappeared almost immediately. Drool began to dribble down their front, matting their fur a little.
Sammie lost track of the rest of the episode. Barney and Baby Bop were doing things, but they were more interested in their thumb and the feeling it was giving them.
“GOO GOO!”
“Well done Baby Bop! That’s how babies talk! And Barney loves it when babies talk!”
Sammie giggled around their thumb, looking at the screen as if talking directly to Barney.
“Goo goo!”
The ending song started up, the swirling once again starting as Sammie sat there watching it. They could’ve sworn their diaper was getting warmer, a sense that this was wrong entered their brain but quickly left as the screen continued to swirl back and forth, though with no message this time.
Eventually it came to a halt, leaving Sammie sitting there with their thumb in their maw and their diaper on. Nothing about this felt wrong, after all they’d done all this for Barney, and Barney loved them very much.
Barney loved them in their diaper, it kept them safe and happy.
Barney loved them when they sucked their thumb and talked like a baby, it made them feel all good inside.
As the bunny started to prod the front of their diaper with their spare hand the start of the next episode began. Sammie attempted to sing along, not caring that all that was coming from their mouth was muffled babble, droplets of saliva running down their arm as they uncontrollably drooled around their thumb.
TUMMY TROUBLES!
Barney walked onto screen, smiling at the camera. He winked, Sammie mumbling in response as the dinosaur went about humming and cleaning a changing table before Baby Bop walked in again, this time looking very desperate.
“Baby Bop! What’s the matter?”
“Barney, I gotsa funny tummy…”
Sammie tilted their head and got closer to the screen. The crinkling of their diaper made another little smile cross their lips.
“Oh Baby Bop! You know what to do when you have a funny tummy don’t you?”
“I.... gotta…”
Sammie watched intently, waiting for Barney to say what to do.
“You gotta bend your knees, suck your thumb and…”
Sammie got to their feet and followed along, watching Baby Bop intently the whole way through.
“PUSH”
The green dinosaur's legs bent, their thumb went into their mouth and little grunts started coming from their muzzle. The back of their diaper started to cartoonishly expand, a huge bulge appearing in the back as more grunts, increasing in volume as they went more and more. As in the previous episode, drool began to dribble down their arm until, finally, they stopped.
Sammie had followed the whole way through. They sucked on their thumb as they felt their own tummy grumble.
Barney looked at the screen.
“Do you have tummy troubles too?”
Sammy nodded.
“Then just…”
Sammie squatted, feeling that same warmth come over them as their tummy cramped.
“PUSH!”
With a huge single grunt, the bunny stuck their bottom out and began to follow Barney’s instruction. They felt everything coming out, smushing against the back of the diaper as their body released the contents of their bowels. It felt like so much, but each little grunt and push made them feel better and better. It all needed to go, they needed to push out everything.
“Baby Bop, I think you have a new best friend!”
Sammie mumbled, feeling another cramp as they continued to fill the back of their diapers. Their eyes glazed over as it slowly drooped downwards past their knees, the waistband tapes on the back stretching to accommodate the extra weight.
“So remember: Barney says to Drool and Push! Drool and Push! Drool and Push! Drool and…”
As Sammie fell onto their messy bottom, smushing the mess around even more and forcing some to the front, their eyes locked onto the swirls on the screen…
*****************************************************************************************
“Hey Sammie I’m… oh god!”
Snazzy walked into the dorm to the most incredible sight he’d ever seen. There was his boyfriend, lying on their back in a huge, full diaper. They were drooling around their thumb, mumbling with their eyes closed.
“Sammie! What happened?!”
The bunny awoke from their seeming slumber and looked up, their thumb slipping from their mouth. Their eyes seemed to slowly focus on Snazzy before they blinked and regained some consciousness.
“Snazzy… Hey…”
“You’re ok?”
Sammie nodded “Yeah I feel… I feel…” the bunny looked down at the diaper on their waist. No thought that this was wrong or unusual came to mind “I think I need a change…”
Snazzy blinked “A… change? Of your diaper?!”
Sammie nodded “Yeah…”
The dragon looked over to the TV screen. It was on static, the VHS having reached the end of the tape.
“Sammie, is this because you watched the Barney tape?”
They giggled “Barney is the best…” their thumb went back to their mouth, a little audible moan of relief coming from it as Snazzy heard the sound of running water coming from the diaper.
“Sammie! You’re… you’re peeing!”
The bunny didn’t care, letting drool go down their arm as they heard the mantras from the VHS go round in their head.
“I’ve got to get someone to help” Snazzy pulled himself to his feet “Wait here I’ll…”
As he got to the door it opened before he could reach for the handle. Outside was the vendor from the flea market, the woman that had sold them the tape. She had a handbag, and a sly grin.
“You…”
“I’ve never seen a cute couple like you two before… normally I get some poor sucker looking for a quick buck with that thing…”
“Change them bac…”
“No, no I think you’ll be the one changing her from now on, dragon”
“Wha..”
Before Snazzy could get another word in, the woman pulled a diaper from the handbag and shoved into his face. Instantly he felt a fog come to his brain.
“See, once you’ve had a few breaths of this, you’ll want to be near diapers all the time. Since your little bunny friend is going to be wearing them all the time from now on, I imagine your relationship is about to get even more fun.”
Snazzy grabbed the diaper from the woman and dragged his snout across it, his mind forming new connections as he continued to sniff. He wanted more, he wanted to have this all the time.
He would. Sammie would make sure he did, and if he ever wanted some extra special time with his bunny and their full, stinky diapers, he knew all he had to do was put on their favorite tape…

I've witnessed heresy :O Snazzy of all people, suggesting to throw out perfectly good, thick, cushy diapers‽ I guess in the end it was all rectified, but still: quite the shock :'D Fun story~ :3c
