After gamergate, lots of developers realized that any amount of subtle messaging/irony/sarcasm would be weaponized by bad actors. It took me too long to understand this, but there is a very healthy underbelly of people who weaponize compelling `gray areas`. Unfortunately we will have to wait for the Gutenberg press phenomenon to take its course to truly understand what this does to developing brains.
