SOTTR | Not just A Visual Overhaul
🕑 Added 2024-04-04 00:34:45 +0000 UTCNow that the modding tools have been completed by _arc (which I'm sure we all thank him very much for), I have everything I need to be able to create a brand new Tomb Raider experience like I had envisioned. Not only will the mod come with a new face, outfits, hairstyles and animations, but it will also come with a complete audio overhaul.
What this audio overhaul does:
Replaces all of Lara's voice with a deeper, confident and more classic style.
Removes all pointless dialogue, radio conversations and puzzle hints unless absolutely necessary for story or completing a puzzle.
Custom written dialogue that changes how Lara interacts with other characters and objects. This aims to take away the overly serious tone and bring back wit and sarcasm.
Alters some of the music and sound effects to be more classic inspired.
This is my first time working with AI, so as you can imagine it has taken a little bit of time. I am also performing the new lines myself to give more confidence, wit and less breathiness than Camilla's performance. Roughly a 30% performance by me, 70% performance from Camilla.

You have done such fantastic work! She's sounds so much better, I can watch the cutscenes without being disgusted xD Camilla never delivered Lara Croft in the entire reboot trilogy.

Much appreciated :) I have never really worked with audio files outside of music replacement before, so this has been such a big/fun challenge for me. Can't wait to show more of this!

This is incredible! Honestly, this mod may put Shadow of the Tomb Raider to my top faves of the series. I am truly stunned with all of the progress you have made in just a few months. Keep up the great work ❤️
