Academy: Live! (0.02a - Public Release)
🕑 Added 2023-09-04 17:31:32 +0000 UTCHey! The second version of the game after the initial release is now ready. It basically doubles the length of the game (which is not much, I know, because the prologue was quite short), and adds a continuation to the story in a somewhat linear and VN style story. It does contain a lot of variations in each of the scenes and you will be able to make some choices which will impact the numbers that influence some students affection towards the MC, or some aspects related to the Academy, like choosing paths that will increase the viewership, students perversion level or the board satisfaction.
What it includes:
- A continuation to the introduction of the Academy.
- A Gym event with the P.E teacher and some of the girls attending that class (3 variations to that scene, with a different choice of girl for each variation).
- An encounter with Ayumi and some of her old acquaintances that will reveal more about her.
- You will meet Satoe, one of the teachers from the Academy that has some harsh methods to keep the students in check.
- A Photoshoot event in which Maiya will be present, and the protagonist will have some interaction with her.
- Finally, a long and detailed encounter with Haruka at your office. (This event is dependable on whether or not somethings have happened during the play of this game version. Tip: Give a 'Strike' to Haruka!)
All in all, this update contains:
- 1131 new renders
- 6 new animations (3 of those have multiple angles)
- Around 9000 new lines of code

Disclaimer
Since this is still an alpha build, a lot of things are work in progress, so I did have a go at making a quick notification UI element, just to show some changes in what some choices are making to the game. That is basically a placeholder and will change and be more polished later.
Also, a lot of the numbers that you'll see in 'affection' values or 'viewership', will definitely change in later versions, I'll still figuring out how to balance them properly.

What's ahead
This update marks the end of the game's 'introduction' and the next steps will probably go into more detail on managing the Academy and the day-to-day gameloop that will be introduced. It won't be like a sandbox, but it'll have some form of freedom for the player to choose how things will happen and what events to see first.

Yeah, the intent was to make the MC still struggling to adjust and be caught 'off-guard' in that scene as it was his first day still. In the future, he'll definitely adjust and take a more active role in situations like those!

Mc's behavior in the scene with Haruka is too passive for my taste. I was expecting Mc to be more dominant in the scene. but otherwise I love the update.

Those Haruka scenes at the end were God-tier mate. Exceptionally done. The rest of the update was great, including the punishment, and the photography session. Was actually conflicted between letting those assholes have their way or not, so I split my playthroughs however I prefer intervening as those dudes deserve to get their asses handed to them.
