The Sims 4 patch 1.55.105 and Meaningful Stories 1.1.5.0
🕑 Added 2019-09-05 20:43:49 +0000 UTCThe recent game patch for The Sims 4 prepared the game for the upcoming Realm of Magic game pack, and also included new stair-building features and some new objects and clothing, including a hijab for Muslim sims!
I'm still going through a more thorough check of the game patch's changes to check for potential issues with my mods, but I wanted to get a quick update out to address one problem with the Meaningful Stories Preview that was preventing patron players from loading their households.
But other than that one issue with the preview version, everything is looking good so far.
Edit: I was mistaken about one of the unofficial patch features. The aspiration resolution bug was fixed in this game patch! I released another quick mod update to disable that unofficial patch feature for game version 1.55.105. Thanks to SimNes for reporting!
Under Pressure Feature Temporarily Disabled - A change in the 1.55.105 game patch has caused the script for the Under Pressure feature in the Meaningful Stories Preview to stop working, causing a dump to world screen after attempting to load a household.
This update to the mod disables the feature in game version 1.55.105 for the moment. A future update will bring the feature back, once I've updated it to work with the patch.
Unofficial Patch Features Enabled for Game Version 1.55.105 - All versions of Meaningful Stories are updated to re-enable the mod's unofficial patch features to work in the new game version.
The unofficial patch features fix Maxis-made game bugs, but automatically disable themselves after a game patch in case the bugs are fixed in the patch. One of these bugs was fixed in this game patch, but the other was not and its unofficial patch features have been re-enabled in this mod update.
The current unofficial patch features are:
- Toddler Skill Gain Moodlets Fix - Toddlers will give the 'Growing So Fast' moodlet to nearby caregivers only when they reach a skill milestone, and not every time you load the game. Inquisitive Toddlers will gain the 'Learned Something New' moodlet only when they gain a skill level, and not every time you load the game.
This unofficial patch feature is no longer needed, as the bug it addressed was fixed in the game update:
- Aspiration Resolution Fix - A sim with a resolution to complete an aspiration milestone will no longer cause errors when they complete an aspiration milestone.
The preview for patrons is updated with the same changes.

I know what I'm about to ask has nothing to do with your Meaningful Stories mod, but I was wondering whether your Fitness Controls mod needs to be updated for version 1.55.105 or not?
