Shingen really hurt me PERSONALLY in the beginning ngl dawg, but we now know that he definitely cared all along. I think him neglecting Gun as his son at 1st fucking destroyed me internally. But he always had a heart, but the corrupted syndicate + father had him on lock. Somi Park is also part of the problem, she eventually let Shintaro sway her & brought the idea of cheating/infidelity to her + the opinions of the less fortunate wives got to her head.

Also idk if you noticed Shingen isn’t a crashout like Shintaro is Somi stabbed Shingen through the chest with a sword and he was basically like damn I was actually enjoying you as wife like he actually cared about her that’s why when she stabbed him he didn’t hurt and when Shintaro had their dads head in his hand he was pissed so there’s one thing about Shingen That you may have missed he actually cares about Somi and his dad he not just some heartless monster and that Shintaro only moved based on that stupid Yamazaki code and his emotions

You’re right, they were taught all this nonsense by the grandfather, but holy shit it had my blood pressure rising. If anything this is also Misaki’s fault too, if Shintaro wasn’t burned by the candle, then most of this nonsense would have happened.
