The German Dilemma - Red Star Daily #17
🕑 Added 2022-11-07 23:19:27 +0000 UTCIn this latest bulletin we look at the latest news from the frontlines in Ukraine/Southern Russia including developments in Kherson, Ugeldar and Bakhmut. We then consider the German Chancellor Olaf Scholz's recent visit to Beijing, the comments made by President Xi Jinping and the wider context of German deindustrialisation.
In the final part of the programme we take a question from a listener regarding the potential choices facing the Russian government earlier this year and whether war was the only option open to them.
Outro music for this episode is the track 'Master of Sensation' by Eloy from the 1979 album 'Silent Cries and Might Echoes'
Episode Artwork is the work 'In New China' by the Soviet Artist Konstantin Finogenov

Thanks for your thorough answer. The point about Russia's diplomatic strategy vis-a-vis fuel seems particularly important and under-the-radar.
