Ukraine - A Self Criticism
🕑 Added 2022-10-07 14:04:36 +0000 UTCWhen the Ukraine war entered into it's previous phase in February of this year with the direct Russian intervention in the form of the "special military operation" I described the war as an "inter-imperialist" one.
Over the course of the last few months I have come to regard this view as not only incorrect but representing a dangerous misunderstanding of the nature of modern Russia and the dangers posed by US imperialsim. In this episode I explain why I made that initial judgement and why I have changed my position on this question.
Intro Music is from the Anatoli Vapirov Ensembles 1980 album 'Misteria'
Outro Music is the song 'Ami Go Home' an anti American song from the DDR period.
Episode Artwork is 'The First Day of Peace' by Boris Okorokov

I called it on the lingering Trotskyite tendencies (on Telegram,) a half joke. Jokes aside, it has been inspiring listening to Alex honestly grapple with this crisis over the last several months.

I think the song is originally a Joe Hill song, "Tramp, Tramp, Tramp, keep on a-trampin' "
