Ukraine Offensives, Putins Strategy and the Fall of Europe
🕑 Added 2022-09-10 16:56:31 +0000 UTCIn this bulletin on the latest from the Ukraine war I look at the latest regarding the Ukrainian offensive to the south of Kharkov.
Does this mean Putins plans lie in ruins? Will the Europeans ever break with the US over Ukraine? What is the nature of the Putin strategy here? Have the American aims changed?
As well as exploring these questions i'll also be suggesting some demands that communists should be putting forward at this stage in the crisis.
The attached image is from Southfront on telegram. It is an animated map showing the Ukrainian advances south of Kharkov.

I'll be doing another programme on this tomorrow so I'll take up your questions then.

"Bring the troops home" (Not offensive, but actually respectful to the troops. Covers NATO and occupation of Europe, Africa, etc.) "Stop fueling foreign wars" (Covers all bases: Yemen, the Ukraine, Syria, etc.) Now that we have a message, how do we deliver it? I would probably not be the only listener that lacks in practical experience. My first inclination is to find a popular spot and hold a sign, but there must be better ways. Do you have resources that can expand my imagination regarding outreach? I was also thinking about the need to speak about "Two Americas" and have a slogan that includes that phrase to emphasize class struggle.

Putin's position certainly sounds more precarious than I thought; sounds like a smart NATO goal would be to drive him to implement a draft. Wasn't too clear on how the exit-EU demand is related or necessitated by the Ukraine and Nato demands, unless it's that NATO gives protection to German imperialism.
