🕑 Added 2022-08-14 16:33:02 +0000 UTCIn this early release for patrons (this will be released publicly on Tuesday) I interview prominent former Corbyn supporter and Labour MP Chris Williamson. We discuss his new book and his experiences of being witch hunted out of the Labour Party, the failings of the Labour left and the capitulation of Corbyn. Be sure to follow Chris on twitter @derbychrisw

A good cautionary lesson for anyone trying to reform these establishment left parties. One day I'd like to learn more about how the Labour Party was able to break through back in the early 20th century; seems like there might be lessons there for people trying to form a new party in a first-past-the-post system (like mine in the US).

As Chris is from the same county as me my accent reverted back to type when talking to him, as it does each time I head back to my home town.

What is that makes Alex sound significantly more northern in this episode? Great episode as always, cheers!
