This was a really dope tutorial! I’d love to see you & Nik hop back on again and talk about how y’all synced up those MIDI/OSC signals with the video triggers. Was the whole Outer Edges show programmed and played on that one razer laptop? Or did you have different machines that ran certain parts? Also, if a laptop crapped out on you, did you have any backups setup?

great video thanks! always wanted to know how you use ableton for djing! but what i noticed working with mastered songs in ableton (may it be for mashups or just doing edits of a production) is that when you turn on warping, most of the algorithms do something with the transients, so the track starts clipping and therefore loses quality. how do you care about this problem??

Hey Martjn! Really enjoyed this one. I’m so used to my own way of doing things that your total outside perspective was very refreshing. Repurposing unused loop markers etc as a way to make notes is genius! You mentioned that the “load everything first” method can stifle improvisation. I think I can help with that.
