Lots of love for that one Nik! With the one from previous month the best tutorials so far. But that one really brought it all together. I would love to see u make a whole track from start to finish. Maybe like a bigger Project over a few months? Would be the ultimate thing for a lot of us i am sure ;) Thanks for sharing ur insights and lots of love from Berlin!:)

Really insightful tutorial! really liked this and the way you showed yourself swiftly making decisions and trying out new ideas in the track without fear. A little demo of some imperfections/perfections in some tracks in the next tutorial would be really nice and another vote for building themes for sure. thanks for the great tutorial Nik!

I agree: the perfection/imperfection concept is fascinating. I’d love to hear some examples of deliberately ‘under-produced’ and ‘imperfect’ elements from the back catalogue and how you went about making them that way...

man this was a rad video love watching you work. legit i would have to pay hundreds for a seminar by someone as experienced as you. watching you troubleshoot and move through things quickly is awesome. As someone who doesnt get payed to produce i try to work quickly in the time i have. much love guys!

Nik mentions "i wouldnt normally start a track like this" and that he might usually start with a theme, i would second iLLtech and say i'd love to see Nik start a track with a Theme in mind, and show how to get from a feeling/ theme to the start of a track. is is research? is it sound design? (anymore sound design is good also haha )

Great TUT! I agree with Kieran. The talk at the end was really excellent. I never thought about it that way and have wasted days of my life trying to get everything BIG and ending up with bupkiss. 11 years now. I am sure there are many just like me. Glad you pointed it out. I needed the exit, Desperately. So one thing you mentioned is about starting with a Theme. I keep noticing its mention. I hope to see a tut showcasing this, Theme Based Creativity. Just my 2 cents. #Helloperson, I am a person and it is great to be in this place =)

This was fantastic, Nik. The resounding message for me, was the discussion of imperfection. I personally just created a drop for a new track, which has to be one of my best yet, which left me scared actually, thinking "Shit, I am going to need to make the rest of the track epic now, and those drums need to be up to scratch to the bass riff!" What you said about imperfection has now guided me, on to producing the rest of the track with that attitude, to leave the focus on the part which I want to stand out whilst deliberately using the drums and other elements to support it. I think this is so important now I've heard it in words, to actually get things finished and balanced. You put it into words excellently. Thank you.

Excellent as always, really like the 10 minutes of thoughts at the end as well. Seen you share similar thoughts here and there, find them really useful so hope they keep making an appearance :)
