A short update on Sales Tax

We would like to update you all on some changes that we will be seeing, which may affect some of your pledges. Due to new laws passing in the US states and several countries, Patreon will be required to start charging sales tax on some pledges starting July 1st - these are paid directly to local government.
However, how much you're paying varies according to:
1. Your location
2. The benefits that you're getting. Some benefits get taxed more, some get taxed less.
We've adjusted our benefits to represent what we provide as accurately as possible, but we do have a lot of benefits that are tax exempted in majority of states - so, YAY!
And know that it's generally a small amount from 4% to 11%. For example, if you pledge $5 that's $0.2 to $0.55.
