New house update 🌻🌿
🕑 Added 2021-07-12 18:53:26 +0000 UTCHello guys!!! How've you been? I missed you.
I'm so sorry for the radio silence. This past week was rough, but things are slowly coming together.
The worst part of the move is finally done, so theoretically, everything should get better and better from now on! I've been painting furniture non stop since we moved, something we couldn't do in our previous apartment due to the lack of space. Our shelves and tables needed varnish and I also felt a bit adventurous and tried to refurbish a lot of stuff that belonged to my grandma to see if we can give them a second chance and make them fit our "style".
But because our furniture needed some retouches, I haven't worked on my new studio at all, I barely finished unpacking half of my stuff last night.
The house still need tons of work and today is a gray, rainy day so keep painting isn't an option, we're stuck inside figuring out what's the next thing we can tackle. Lighting isn't super nice right now, but here're some photos for you!
The studio / living area
I want to get another table to make an "L" where the art cart is, so I can have more space. I don't want to hang anything on the walls for the time being, so I can plan it properly once I have rest of my desk.
Here's a before and a very rough after of our bedroom, the dark blue wall was something very questionable between our families lol but we're very happy we painted it. It will have much more personality once we hang some shelves and plants. I want plants everywhereee.
Lastly, here's how our kitchen is currently looking 😩 this area should be finished and functioning this week, hopefully. It's quite a challenge to live without a proper kitchen, but we're managing pretty well I guess 🤷♀️
And that's it! The rest of the rooms are full of boxes and stuff, which isn't very interesting-looking, I'll show you more once we make some more progress!
Thank you for your patience during these times, seriously. I hope to be back at doing art ASAP, I really need it.
Talk to you very soon!
Hugs and love!! ❤️
Gret
