Witch portrait // step by step 🦎✨
🕑 Added 2021-05-11 17:12:27 +0000 UTCHii everyone! 🌈
Hope you're doing well!
I finally finished all my drawings for the collab with Kuretake 😭 I decided to do another portrait of a witch like the previous one but with a lizard companion this time, I know it's not the most good-looking lizard though, sorry little fren.
Here're some pictures of the process I got to take!
✶ Sketch with a Prismacolor col-erase pencil, scarlet red on a Strathmore watercolor paper
✶ First layers of colors using the Kuretake twin markers, I start to paint like I'd normally do with markers with the only difference that I use a bit of water in some areas to dilute it or extend the color.
✶ Started defining the characters with Copic colored multiliners. The white area is the Kuretake white ink 30, which is great for details and adding highlights but unfortunately I went too overboard with it *sighs*
Then I took a picture and retouched it a bit with photoshop cause I wasn't very happy with the lizard. You can't really paint over this particular white ink for some reason, colors just disappear. I also deleted some of the little stars because I thought it was too much.
I want to scan these portraits and make them available as prints so whenever I do that, I'll make sure to edit it properly and make it look much better!
Also, I'd like to post this on IG as soon as possible so I can finally move on from this (wonderful) collaboration but at the same time I'm a little bit tired of Instagram, it makes me really anxious for some reason. I just want to disappear for a while lol.
Anyways, I'm editing a bunch of videos I had pending, it's taking me so long that by the time they're ready they won't be relevant anymore haha but I'll do it!
Stay safe, love and hugs for you!!
