Progress Report
🕑 Added 2023-02-28 16:54:56 +0000 UTCGreetings, everyone!
It's been one week since the backer release of the first version of Supermodel Snapshot. During that week, I have spent much time talking to players and working on fixes and balance adjustments. The result is version 1.1, which will be released shortly after I finish posting this progress report. If you haven't been able to try Supermodel Snapshot yet, I suggest downloading version 1.1 instead of 1.0. In particular, the new version adds more manageable difficulty levels and makes it easier to get your resource generation going in the early game.
Along with this progress report, you'll find the main menu music that feature in Supermodel Snapshot. Unlike the music from Long Live the Princess, which was licensed from other people, Supermodel's music has been composed by myself. This means I can do anything I like with it, including making it available for download. So, I'm proving that right now by giving you access to the first of the two initial tracks. These tracks are used for the card game and have a very different mood from what you will hear in the visual novel parts of Supermodel: Defenders of Desire, but more on that later. For now, enjoy the main menu theme from Snapshot, attached to this post.
The plan right now is to wrap up Long Live the Princess version 1.0.1 and release it to the public before moving on to Supermodel Snapshot version 2.0, focusing on deckbuilding. Once THAT is done, it'll be all about Supermodel: Defenders of Desire and the story mode. I can't wait.
So, there's nothing else to say that hasn't been said. It's thrilling to finally have people other than myself playing Snapshot. It will be even better once it becomes a little more approachable to newer players with version 1.1 today.
Until next time!

Yes, I'm also a big fan of News Desk (especially how the cards get sexier as the story progresses), so I'm glad it won't be the only sexy card game anymore. (EDIT: I know there are other sex games that use cards, I guess what I meant is that News Desk seems to be unique in using a card game to simulate something other than combat.)
Thanks!
Firstly, great song. It's easy to vibe with. I've yet to check out Snapshot but love LLtP so will give Snapshot a try. Keep up the hard work, much appreciated!!
Thank you!
Honestly, the game is challenging and that is really satisfying to grasp the subtleties along the different tries. It reminds me a bit of News Desk made by Pyorgara which i liked very much. Keep up the good work! I am really looking forward the future.
A nice win screen will be coming in Supermodel: Defenders of Desire. You'll even get to take a closer look at the background photos there. :)

Just wanted to give you some positive support. The music is great and fits well with Snapshot, and as for Snapshot itself - you did a fantastic job. It's not easy to put together fun elements while still managing to stay thematic, and you did an excellent job right out of the gate. I've paid for apps that were less fun. Glad to see the difficulty can be adjusted -- I've only won it twice, so it's definitely hard -- but the win is gratifying! Needs a nice win screen ;)
