clay play

One of the problems I got myself into in that other painting I've been working on recently is that I tried to short cut the clay play phase too much. I overestimated my ability to fill in the gaps.
Mainly, I didn't sculpt the big forms as interesting shapes. So while it helps me with the lighting, It's not as useful for defining the forms being lit.
That probably sounds cryptic. and it is. But it's accurate.
Here's a picture of coyotes.
They own this place.
my throat still hurts. I'm still taking that anti-inflammatory. It's still making me lethargic and it's also making me hungry.
I'm currently painting pancakes. More on that later.

A great eclectic array of photos, processes and stories tonight. I did chuckle, "Here's a picture of coyotes. They own this place. my throat still hurts......... I'm currently painting pancakes. I did read it twice on magnifier so had about one word per line on average, but forgetting about last couple of nights posts about your throat, I almost thought it must be hoarse from shouting at the coyotes, or you'd had something and got the munchies. I then realised this is just the life of an artist, always something going on even if it's not seen on the canvas.
