！ Hello adventurers!! This is the Alchemokt, your shopkeep from another world!
Thank you very very much for your support! I really appreciate how patient and understanding you are with me!!
This post, I will be filling you in about stuff I've been working for some time now!
Here you are, adventurers- It's you in chibi creature form!! I recreated it from memory as the original one got deleted in the purge. I'm not sure if this will be the final colors yet since I am still unsure of the colors I'll go with with my own vtuber model.
With that, part of my plans is releasing a free customizable model for you adventurers when I debut !! (Not sure when that will be though, as a lot of unexpected things have happened and the old designs I were making in secret are all gone now!)
Here is the main gear design I recreated from memory!
This is the concept for the base costume for the free vtuber model.
It will be like a character creation in an RPG!
There are different ear types and a lot of hair types to choose from! The eye shape is also customizable along with the colors of the skin, hair and some parts of the clothes. You can also choose whether you want shorts, pants, and a long or short skirt!
I am not sure yet if the model will have a height or body shape toggle at this moment but I've been thinking of it!
My original plan was to release a new costume for the adventurer model every time I gain a new costume- the timeline of which relates to my original world's lore: every time we unlock a new area, a new adventurer costume would be unlocked relating to that area!
This is the world map for now. You can view parts of it and read the lore about the current nearest areas in the World Map section on the Alchemokt website! https://alchemokt.carrd.co/#world
The first or default costume would be armor, and the next one is a selection between a magic school uniform, swimsuit, and forest gear- although I have yet to decide which one to go for because it's still early and my debut has been pushed back.
A lot of these have been remade from scratch as a lot of the adventurer model files and designs were supposed to be a secret surprise that then got affected by the data purge and are now gone. A lot of files I managed to 'recover' are just WIP screenshots and similar things that I happen to have sent to my friends to simply show them or ask for their input/suggestions actually!
With that said, I've told this before but I lost the two models that I was working on for my debut, along with the files for my lore and intro videos. Among those are the video files for an original song I was going to release along my debut. At this point, I don't think I'll ever release the original song anymore so here it is! It is very unfinished though.
IGLIP - Alchemokt feat.Hatsune Miku (Unfinished Original Song)
It has both English and Japanese subs! Also, if it sounds familiar, that is because it is the 2023 roundup theme! That is why that particular roundup sounds more melodic than the past ones.
It took a lot of time to make those lost models and I'm afraid I am unable to recreate them despite a lot of effort because of the big amount of time I spent on them that I just cannot give anymore.
That's why I think I'll just share what little left I've found of them here- as I am planning to create a new model from scratch again instead of tracing and recreating them.
Above is the thumbnail I gave you guys with the silhouettes some time ago! One was for Youtube streams (a cutesy version) that is for gaming and stuff while the other was for pixivLIVE (a tall version) for drawing adult art.
Here are the non silhouetted sketches!!
The small version actually had two outfit plans: one that is based off of my 2.0 model and another that is lore-based off of the 'tiny shopkeeper' motif- the same one I used in the silhouette. This was actually almost done already (as you can see on the right one, there are some finished parts behind the sketch already and these screenshots were taken early on) but sadly, it couldn't be rescued from the abyss.
Here is the body and hair sketch of the one on the right. I really wanted to put a moustache on there cause I thought he looked funny and unique with one, especially with the braids.
The tall model has two versions that I was able to find!
One is in the picture above, on the bottom right. The clothing is very similar to my 2.0 model but with a more traditional Barong style instead of the zip-up. This version was also almost done parts-wise but it is very tiny in this picture that I found and is cut off. It is the one I used for the silhouette. I believe this was when I showing a friend the changes of my character's design over the years.
The other version is this! This was an earlier version than the one above, which is why the other one has more finished features. This screenshot was when I was still playing around with what I should do with his clothes, thus the shiny/stylized Barong on him, and I was asking a friend what items I should put in his hands.
A lot of hours have already been put in these models and their corresponding lore vids so when I lost all that data, I was very sad. I tried to remake the smaller model first but got frustrated because I just couldn't recreate the features I already made it with. (Both models had a lot of hidden parts because they were very ambitious. The tall model was around 14k pixels tall by the time I was almost done with it!)
This was the sketch of the recreation I tried to do but decided to ultimately drop!
As you can see, there are two designs! Some of you already know (as I tend to say stuff relating to it in passing and others have just straight up asked me directly before out of politeness) but for those who do not know, I am genderfluid/nb. As such, to reflect that, I have a model toggle where it changes from a masc form (left) to a fem form (right) that I can use interchangeably. I also just love designing characters too.
Here is their colored concept art: One is based on a spider and a flower while the other is based on a mantis and a plant's thorny stem + leaves. Their bodies are very exoskeleton-looking but they are both just puppets/automata.
The two models that fell into the abyss were both made to have masc and fem toggles, which is why they have a whole lot of hidden parts- there's basically a whole other model hiding in them. A lot of time, effort and planning were put into those models to get them ready for rigging and just thinking about redoing almost 4 entire separate models is making me feel dizzy.
As such, I dropped the concept of a small cutesy model and decided to just have a single tall model for both YT and pixivLIVE.
I've been quite paranoid of losing my data again so I've been leaving WIPs and sketches in multiple places since the only things I were able to collect again were mainly WIPs and sketches I uploaded here or shown my friends. As such, I am posting the sketches of my model here too instead of keeping them to myself just in-case I end up losing them again.
Here they are! This will be one model with the two forms separated by a toggle.
As you can see, I have made some different design choices from my old models. Instead of having five arms like he always has, the Mokt model might have 6. Thus, making him have 8 limbs like a usual spider has. The scar signifying the original loss of the fifth arm is still there- which means the 6th arm is pretty much just magic and not a real arm! Story-wise, that is. Design-wise though, the sixth arm is there to give him a more balanced look.
I'm still debating on this because I quite like the design choice of having only 7 limbs as opposed to eight- it's based on a house wolf spider we've had that I've taken quite a liking to who only had seven limbs, even down to the missing arm's placement.
In Alche's side of design choices, I removed the crab-like claws and decided to just go full praying mantis with her limbs. I've also removed the mantis abdomen that she had before on her lower back and decided to keep the flower-like insect abdomen Mokt has so it doesn't look like an entirely different character between the toggles.
It makes it more visible silhouette wise that Alche has multiple legs in contrast to Mokt's multiple arms but also maintaining their similar shape, as they are the same person.
I also quite like the height difference they ended up in because that means toggling between them would make it so that if only Mokt's head is visible in frame before the switch, only the tips of Alche's hair is gonna be left on the screen when she appears and I think that's kinda funny.
Color-wise, I'll follow the old concept where Mokt is Red+Purple and Alche is White+Green. To reflect the duality of the characters and model, here is the logo I've made!
Not sure if the logo is finished yet or not, as there may be changes I might do still!
