Sometimes a Good Idea Isn't
🕑 Added 2020-06-25 21:50:25 +0000 UTCI thought maybe if I used a motion blur I might get away with fewer samples on the girl's skin and not have it look all speckled. Clearly that didn't work. I'll attach a composited video that ... that's extremely WIP and won't be used.
Instead I've found a de-noiser that allows me to render fewer samples and not have it look noisy. That's the still image above. I still used DOF but I like that look. Out with the Motion blur in with the denoise filters. It's another processing step but it's way faster than letting each frame render for a couple of hours.
So off the re-render this sequence and use the denoise instead.
I'll have at least part of the end game animation in Hookup for you soon. I want to give you at least 3 positions and some variety on those.

I've reworked the character models to be lower poly so they can get a reasonable frame rate in Unity. I need to make another pass at rigging them for unity. I'm trying to transfer the animations I've already made onto the new figures. There's not really anything playable right now
