🕑 Added 2025-03-13 13:47:30 +0000 UTCJust by walking into Heslandaena, Emrys is going to get a “drow perk.” What will it be? He intends to TRY to double up on this by recruiting a female drow to his team for an upgrade, but that’s a long shot.
Drow Conversion - grants you a single potion of Greater Species Change (Drow). This will allow you to transform a sapient creature who drinks it into a Drow, permanently. In addition, any time it would be possible for a member of your party to be transformed into another species, such as by the spell reincarnation, you may forecast the result and change it to Drow instead.
My man! - Drow males, especially those you outrank, will see you as a natural leader. This will extend your Total Stud charisma perk (+5 to diplomacy and intimidate) to Drow males if they believe you can improve their lives or prospects in some way.
Girdle of Opposite Gender - this delicate chain can transform into any shape that has historically been referred to as a girdle, ranging from form shaping undergarments to a thick leather belt. More importantly, it can physically transform someone into their own opposite sex twin while worn. Finally, you may expend the magic within to make the effects permanent; doing so turns the belt into a normal, nonmagical girdle. As a company sponsored item, it does not radiate magic and can not be identified by third parties except though experimentation.
Envy - A one time ability to retrain any number of feats to copy those of one drow of your choosing. This will erase talents Emrys does not use often, such as his curse or the ability to charm vermin, in favor of talents from the target, but does not gain him any levels. In a way, it is value neutral as he will be the same level with the same number of feats/talents before and after.
Envy (Nendra)- Nendra specializes in subtle magic that controls the mind and body, which sometimes clashes with her temper.
Envy (Kiyon)- Kiyon is far more proficient in shadow puppetry than Emrys, capable of allowing his puppets to do complex tasks independently.
Envy (Dovnu)- Dovnu is, at least as far as combat is concerned, a dirty fighting pragmatist who knocks down her enemies and refuses to allow them to stand back up. Most of these talents are applicable to Emrys, especially with his new gestalt class.
Envy (Mother)- Carys M’Dair is one of the most individually powerful women in Heslandaena, a powerful level 11 cryomancer. No one will be shocked to see Emrys develop magic akin to hers, beyond the shock that he is capable of anything noteworthy at all.
Spider Step - Gain immunity to entanglement by spiderwebs (including magically created webs and webs from magical spiders). In addition, gain the effects of the spell spider climb as a permanent ability. Since this is now relevant, it is not visible as an active spell.

Yeah I’ll be very conservative with what gets swapped out. The curse isn’t awful on someone who might plausibly run out of spells and need something to do, but that hasn’t been a common problem since his frost blast got upgraded. So probably Curse, Drow Nobility (redundant now that he has it as his race), Coaxing Spell (can charm vermin and slimes), and possibly Great Stamina (which he mostly uses for the 2 hour reduction in sleep needed per night. Not sure about that one.) So 3-4 talents or feats within a specific theme.

Envy is a good idea just to remove that curse., and as long as we're removing a limited number of feats that we've never used in the first place, that's great. if it forces us to remove good feats and exchange them that's stupid.

I don't want his build to change tbh. I like Drow conversion because I want Emrys to help or seduce one of the guards.
