Summoning
🕑 Added 2024-06-03 23:52:44 +0000 UTCEmrys is waking up in 6 hours with the ability to summon 4HD outsiders. For obvious reasons, he’s going to be calling in the toughest bastards he can. Shame this is the lineup that a bunch of knowledge checks was able to furnish him with. This poll is for general interest, not just the immediate situation. You aren’t going to screw over the crew by choosing someone that’s a bad fit for the immediate situation.
Shulsaga: scaly humanoids that surf the astral sea between the planes on disks made of pure force. They are great hunters, capable of flight and ranged combat. No passengers, and they don’t speak common, so we’d need an interpreter.
Forlarren: the daughters of (generally good aligned) Nymphs and (tautologically evil) fiends. You can guess how often they have stable home lives. Forlarren are a bit emotionally unstable and full of self loathing, as their two natures clash badly. In combat, you can think of them as slightly stronger dretches that are far more willing to negotiate in good faith.
Quickling: halfling sized fey that LOVE to move fast and kill people. Yeah, they are pretty damn evil, but they are incredible at hit and run tactics.
Shae: petty lordlings of the plane of shadows, they believe themselves to be descended from humanoids that managed to ascend into outsiders through tireless study of shadow magic. They can do a little bit of everything in combat, They are hot shit and they know it. Forcing them to do anything will be hard, but they will be reasonably open to negotiation.
Brine Dragon: one of the weakest types of dragon, the brine dragon hails from the depths of the plane of water. Damn near every brine dragon ends up building a subaquatic kingdom, considering themselves a failure if they don’t. Of course, at this level Emrys can only summon a very little one.
Esobok: the attack dogs of Pharasma. These creepy chimeras have gator skulls for heads and live for two things: protecting the dead on their journey to the afterlife and eating undead. It will be VERY easy to convince them to hunt ghouls, especially if fog does the talking, but they don’t take orders well from mortals and get violent when bored.
Medium Air Elemental: if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it. The next size up for air elementals, they are just generally bigger and stronger in every way. Language Barrier is still in play. Not hard to control other than that.
