Go out of their way to loot the caverns before leaving. It risks additional injury from traps or stragglers, and you might be trapped by high tide, but these grindylows almost certainly have some treasure squirreled away here and there.
Clear out the caverns and find a safe place to rest there.

Say fuck it to the Man’s Promise. Rowe can build us an escape boat out of leaves and wood pulp because goblin. Best to just go our separate ways and avoid conflict, even if it’ll take us a while. Have faith in our ability to hide somewhere safe and kill any ghouls that stumble across us.

In the Shackles, if you can conquer an island it’s your property for as long as you can defend it. Clear out the ghoul infestation, hunt a few Ankhegs, scavenge from the nearby shipwrecks for parts, and become a petty pirate lord.
Openly tell Plugg that you’re staying on the island. He will probably be totally onboard with you doing something so unbelievably stupid.
When we get back to the Man’s Promise, prioritize getting Plugg killed in the ghoul fighting.

The future isn’t set in stone, but the current votes imply that Emrys will be strengthening his position by gathering treasure and allies, then start campaigning for the position of captain through constant flexing of his magical powers, success rate on missions, and ability to make money despite being on an abandoned monster infested island that can be easily crossed in a single day.

I'm all about following Besmara's ideals and being the Big Damn Pirate Lord. To that end, passing up cavern loot is a non-starter. Going back to Plugg with no gas in our magic tanks and after a tough boss fight so we're piss easy to finish off? That's a non starter too. Worst caee scenario Plugg and his loyalists are all dead and softened up the ghouls so we can take the ship and fuck off. We might lose some folks like conchobar... but to be honest, conchobar isn't really part of our core group anyways? He sat out going to get Sandara back, whatever his reasoning, and he stayed behind for the island now... not looking great in terms of his reliqv8loty
