One Night in Goatshead
🕑 Added 2023-12-28 02:55:51 +0000 UTCIt’s barely even 6 and Emrys got Sandara back from the dead. She’s not in a good way, literally too tired and weak to walk under her own power until she gets some rest. So… what’s Emrys doing with the rest of his day? He can probably fit 2-3 things into his day planner.
Persuade Sandara to go home and sleep, leaving Owlbear to guard and assist her.
Let Sandara be carried to the bar, where she intends to drink more than someone in her condition should and generally soak in the atmosphere.
Try to seduce Sandara while she’s in this state by gently but firmly taking care of her. She enjoys playing with benevolent power dynamics. We might be able to work with that.
Spend time with Sandara and try to take care of her without trying to turn it into a Florence Nightingale seduction technique. Probably bring Syl. You know. The party’s actual trained medical professional.
Try to recruit some people for the crew of the Wormwood. Kidnapping is common for this crew, but there’s nothing stopping some silver tongued devil from just talking people into it. There’s also a small 20 gp bounty for each new hire deemed to be worth the trouble. Aim for random poor people.
Aim for goblins for recruitment.
Try to make contact with crews of other ships, and learn more about wider Shackles Culture.
See if he can scalp (metaphorically) people from other pirate crews.
Use detect magic and his prodigious skill at sneaking and lying to try to steal a magic item or two from people in port.
Investigate the ship market and do some general research about ship culture in the Shackles. Emrys is absolutely going to go into business for himself, and even a basic overview will help him plan.
Emrys can enchant a weapon or suit of armor using precisely 1000 gp worth of reagents which he can buy in almost any market, thanks to Craft Magical Arms and Armor. See if he can get someone to commission a +1 weapon or sword; if he can he can finish a mission and level up.
Hire 1-4 Prostitutes (potentially after other things are done) to get cheap power ups from achievements. Apparently they are surprisingly affordable.
Check on Cog. He ran off to do his own investigations or something. We should probably let him know the mission was handled without him.
Try to find a trustworthy ship captain and book passage for one or more of his friends to another port in the Shackles, far away from Harrigan.

Either way make sure Sandara gets a good rest, find or send someone after Cog to inform him about the successful resurrection and then get started on the pirate and/or enchanting business. Somehow involving Goblins, we need some more chaos~
