Yeah, Mending is definitely the best. I can think of lots of situations in a pirate adventure where being able to just... fix stuff without needing tools can be pretty great. Patch up worn clothing (or fix holes in torn sails!) reverse damage to frayed ropes... More generally, being thrifty with what you have is a good idea when you're out on the sea, away from port and uncertain when your next resupply is!

Yup. Bleed is for subtly killing people at or below 0 hp.

Em already has a Damage-Cantrip in Ray of Frost, right? Does "Critical Condition" from 'Bleed' mean it applies only if someone is unconcious* (at or below 0 HP?). If yes, then 'Mending' is probably the more useful option from those Cantrips^^
