Afterword - Winter Maid - Chapter 4
🕑 Added 2020-09-29 01:52:28 +0000 UTCAfter going extreme with Chapter 3, it was clear that I couldn't continue on that same path. Before I even began typing chapter 4, I decided to make this story more humorous and more aimed at the characters instead of the device itself.
Winter Maid has a lot in common with Building Reality in a way that it quickly escalated to something extreme and hot. However, I burned myself with Building Reality and didn't want the same to happen with Winter Maid.
Yes, I know, some of you would have liked me to keep pushing Mia to a dark pit of fetishism and mental destruction, some of you would have loved me to keep navigating through all the different options of this limitless software. (Perhaps even turn her into a controlled hucow on a farm) … But I decided against it, knowing very well that it would disappoint some patrons. I was ready to take the risk to stay true to myself. To the disappointed ones, I apologize, but I have no regrets, and here is why.
It's hard… It's really hard. The more extreme I go with a story, the fewer options I get. I remember when I wrote Building Reality: Addiction… it took me forever to complete it. Tracy was so demolished that there was nothing else I could do to her, short of throwing her into a meat grinder and feeding her to the dogs. I had to take her out of her misery and plunge her right back in. Simply put, my imagination ran out, and playing with inanimate corpses is not really my thing. (unless it's a cute girl who turned into a sex doll for a moment.) (yesyes, exactly like in real life)
I felt that the same thing could have happened to Mia if I had continued on the same path. Even writing chapter 3 was super hard… There were a gazillion options listed in the software, but I didn't feel like writing about any of them… I guess I'm not as kinky as people might think.
Instead, I decided to go toward something I loved to do, which means having fun with a loving and fun relationship and playing on some original themes, such as Mia hating winter. (and baby cats videos… I know it's kitten… but I thought writing baby cats was cuter)
I didn't receive a lot of feedback on this, so I don't know how it was received, but it felt great to me. I like Mia a lot, and things felt normal… There is that crazy powerful device that can turn her into whatever Brian would have wanted… but the story still felt normal, and love was bigger than kinks.
I made sure to mention in the story that Brian wasn't really interested in turning Mia into one of his fetishes. He likes Mia for who she is, a pretty funny girl and just brings some warmth in his life. Honestly, if I had a cute girlfriend, I'd not try to push my fetish on her. She wouldn't be a work in progress. We would do fun kinky things that we both like, but I'd never try to turn her into something different. In that as, Brian is a lot like me. (I'm mostly a feminist, and I have a hard time writing about abuse and master/slave relationship unless the consensually is prominent and there is a vibe of equality of gender.)
Now that I reverted Winter Maid to a story and not just an escalation of kinks, I have the freedom to do whatever I want with it. I have a few ideas, and people suggested some more, but I'm not sure what I'll do just yet. I'm hoping to publish another chapter of this story before the end of the year… we will see…
Oh, one last thing. To the ones I may have disappointed by not continuing toward a more extreme story, I didn't forget about you. As you saw with building reality, I don't shy away from those types of stories, I just don't write them often because they are not my favorites… Another chapter of Building reality will come soon (hopefully in November), and after that, I'll probably attempt something else around the same themes… Something with an overdose of latex, of course. ;)
Thanks for reading the story. :)
