Ah, that was an era. Remember the ABC after-school TV specials? My favorite was "Psst... Hammerman's After You!" Then there was the TV series "James At 15", then 16, with Lance Kerwin. Even my tough-guy cousins in Queens watched that one! And of course, the movie "My Bodyguard", which I really hope Dawn reacts to. Some of my fave YA-themed material from that time... Björn, I think a plug for Show Me Love would not be out of place here! ☺️

It's based on a famous young adult book from the '70s. I enjoyed it quite a bit, but it may not be everyone's cup of tea.

I'd vote for the The Magnificent Seven in a second if it were the 1960 original. (Cue the cinephiles lecturing me about Kurosawa. :-) ) I bear a grudge against Trainspotting for leading people to believe that a certain perfect song is oh-so-very sad and tragic.

Although I have to admit the 2016 version of The Magnificent Seven isn't on the level of the 1960 Magnificent Seven, it's got it's merits and worthy of a Dawn Marie reaction 😉, therefore my vote goes to 2016 Magnificent Seven!

I tried a slightly simplified version of your eggnog recipe. I omitted the egg yolks, sugar, cream, milk, nutmeg, salt, vanilla, and cinnamon. I also skipped the whisking, heating, stirring, straining, and cooling. I absolutely loved it! I must say, it tasted suspiciously like brandy. :-)
