Animism: The First Religion?

1) New video!: Yesterday I published "Animism: The First Religion?" In this video I discuss the various ways that animism has been understood throughout the last 100 years of scholarship and offer an alternative way to describe what animism is.
2) Perks: If you've been in contact with me and still haven't received a perk (e.g. a mug or a book), I just wanted to let you know that I haven't forgotten you! I'm in the midst of a huge move back to Washington D.C. from Jerusalem, so it has been very difficult managing shipping the perks remotely from abroad. They will all definitely be in the mail by mid-March or earlier. If you are a $10-$30 patron and haven't yet sent me your address for your perk, contact me soon!
