So weirdly I think I actually have a guess what the "stay in the boat" line is referencing. It's from Apocalypse Now, where that becomes a theme for the characters in both literal and metaphorical terms. ...it still doesn't make any goddamn sense in the context of *this* movie, but I'm 90% sure that's what they're *trying* to reference.

with some tweaking and ADR this movie is about David AR white being the bad guy and we need to change so little and he would loose and everyone be better off. Also, in the first movie, David was not the main character was he? he was kinda like a side character.

I'm pretty sure the "homeless shelter not being up to code" plot point is a reference to the pastor in Ohio earlier this year who was using his church as a homeless shelter, only to be cited for building code violations some of which didn't apply to a church but would apply to a residential use/shelter. Things like not having enough emergency exits.

This is absolutely amazing! I just realized something that had me gasping for breath laughing. You guys kept talking about how David AR White wanted to return to formula. Inadvertently, he totally did. The pre-debate ultimatum that the “bad guy” gives sounded familiar to me. Then I remembered: it’s EXACTLY the same as the one the “bad guy” gives in Brother White, the first David AR White movie you guys did. Davey’s character is offered obscene concessions by objectively good characters to abandon his vanity pursuits, and he throws their offers in their faces. We’ve come full circle!

It's so sad to see such a good actor like Ray Wise, in these movies. Also, remember when he played the literal Devil in the 2000s show "Reaper" with Brett Harrison? That was actually a really good show.

"Huckabee" used to be the 8pm Saturday slot on Fox News back in the day before it got cancelled and then picked up by TBN or whatever. The only memory I have of seeing it- of only for a few seconds- was flipping past it just long enough to see Mike playing bass with his musical guest Ted Nugent as they all belt out "Cat Scratch Fever." Just typing this still makes my skin crawl.

I saw this title and my evening plans were set. Put the kids to bed, dimmed the lights, got my comfy cat themed pj's on, drank the right amount of weed soda, got my munchies, my ginger ale, my big blanky, sat in my recliner for short people and had myself a perfect time. I giggled, cuddled my four cats who all insist sitting on me at the same time. Thank you, once again, for being a part of making these nights possible. Where I want to slow down, settle in, and thoroughly enjoy something. As a person with chronic depression, these moments are rare, and when I can enjoy and savor them, they are the sweetest things that make life worth living, even if they seem small and irrelevant. These moments to myself make me a better parent and a better person. So thank you.

I was at my movie theater this past weekend here in Alabama and this movie was playing. I ALMOST bought a ticket to watch it cuz I knew the guys would review it at some point. So glad I didn't 😄
