She feels very distant now that she has to go through with this, and she's only two steps from actually leaving. The bag in her hands jostles slightly from minute bodily movement. "I... I know... all the villagers 'd be more than happy to have me stay with y'all." she says, shaking her head. "But right now... this little corner's got one too many memories attached to it." Deputy Whitlock casts his gaze to the ground and rubs the back of his neck. "Do you know where you're goin' at least?" "No." Yes. She did know where. Up to the source some 58 miles upriver.
