I still say they should have stopped with Movie 1, that was solidly told and ended at a good point, the sequels both did not add anything the first one lacked and did a lot horribly horribly wrong.

One of my, if not my favorite movie of all time '99 The Matrix had promise as a trilogy. Reloaded wasn't as much of a disaster as other sequels, yet, the turducken of hot garbage wrapped in perceptual diarrhea within road kill that is Revolutions...beyond disappointing.

I always thought that Neo's ability to shoot lightning and see in code vision in the real world were made possible because they were several matrixes (matrices?) deep at this point. Isn't that what the Architect meant when he was talking about how the machines had created several matrices? I always assumed that each matrix started in the 90's and progressed until they invented AI again, then made another matrix inside the matrix, inception style.

I realized listening to this, that it was much easier to rationalize glaring plot holes when I was still a Christian. This movie made sense to me when I saw it originally. Loved it. My wife says I am just getting old and cynical. To the movies defense... Those poorly armored stompy robots are mobile, which is important. Turrets are pretty easy to avoid from a tactical standpoint. The swarming of the squids is what makes no sense. You have hundreds of thousands of flying squids... And you group them up making sure that inaccurate machine gun fire is far more likely to hit them. It looks cool, but offensively is fucking terrible.

I wish they would just pick the movie they want to do, pixels was a great choice by the fans. The magic movie would have been great because they treat the magic like it's real and that drives everyone nuts. It's like wrestling portrayed in movies like it's real. Nobody thinks it's real so don't do it. I hate the matrix so this will likely be my least favourite episode.

This is my response to a few comments on past posts: Patreon donors....this is my rant! I donate to this podcast and several others for the content, the comedy, the quality not for the "REWARD". These 4 people work constantly for "OUR" entertainment. They are also moving their headquarters! Cut them some slack or buy the Diatribes in book form on Amazon. The Matrix is that movie for me. Pseudo intellectual premise following by an hour of typical action movie cliches. It's amazing people keep giving them money to make movies. Maybe they are the projects M Night turns down.
