Playable Gang Members
You can finally be able to play as a gang member and not just the leader of the gang. Either with a gang member or enforcer you have already recruited while playing as a Gang Leader, or by joining an existing gang.
Join Gang
The prerequisite for joining a gang is that the gang exists, and that the Leader has reached level 7 so they have a Right Hand Man and a Gang HQ.
Get friendly to the gangs Right Hand Man and ask to join.
If the gang is already full you will get a picker to remove one of the 3 low ranked Gang Members first, and you'll be in afterwards.
Missions
Click on your gang member's phone and select the Gangs menu, from here you can choose a Mission. Some of them are Rabbithole missions, while others are Drug Pushing missions that you have to play through on your own.
Once a mission is complete, click the Gangs menu on your gang member's phone again and select "Return to Gang". This will transport you to your Gangs HQ where you can talk to the Right Hand Man to give an update on the Mission Status.
Weekly Cuts
To be eligible for a weekly cut of the Gangs profits your gang member must perform two successful missions per week. Weekly cuts can only be collected on Fridays. Talk to the gangs Right Hand Man to collect.
Gang Member Skill
To advance in the Gang Member Skill levels, simply perform missions and perform Gang Member related interactions. You will get bonuses and increases in Weekly Cuts per level you advance.
Plot Gang Takeover
To plot a gang takeover your gang member must be at level 10 in the Gang Member skill. Click on the Gangs menu on the phone and select Plot Gang Takeover.
This will give you an option of 4 different assassination options. Think this through before trying it out, though... if it fails your gang member might get killed instead of the current Gang Leader.
Venue List
To make sure this works you need to download the updated venue list provided in this post. I recommend installing the venue list in a separate folder directly in your Mods folder called: Basemental Venue List
If you already have this Venue List installed from the previous version of drugs you don't need to reinstall it.
Choose one of these 2 installation methods. Not both.
Basemental Gangs Installer (WINDOWS ONLY)
- Delete all the old Basemental Gangs files from your Mods folder.*
- Download this Basemental Gangs.exe file.
- Run the Basemental Gangs.exe file.
- Delete your localthumbcache.package
* If you installed from the installer previously, you can delete the old files by launching the file called unins000.exe in your Basemental Gangs folder.
Basemental Gangs Zip (WINDOWS OR MAC)
- Delete all the old Basemental Gangs files from your Mods folder.
- Download the Basemental Gangs zip file.
- Unzip the Basemental Gangs zip file.
- Place the files in a folder titled Basemental Gangs in your Mods folder.
- Delete the Basemental Gangs zip file.
- Delete your localthumbcache.package
NOTE: This mod is an add-on to Basemental Drugs, and it requires Basemental Drugs to work. It also requires the Get To Work expansion pack.

i came to see if i could request in a future update to gangs. i would like to see more gang name options. i want to have minor gangs in other areas that may not be assosiated with newcrest thugs or 15th street. i hope that makes sense. thank you <3 :)

Lmfao… not to be THAT person but I did pay 4 bucks for a barely changed drugs mod & truly would love to kno the difference & if it’s only that you can play as gang members now…. Bruh. At this point I’m pretty sure I’ve got mine promoted to the top and this ish isn’t needed. I’m sure you’re like OH DANG, here Karen come but homie I PAID FOUR BUCKS FOR WHAT FEELS LIKE NOTHING & a response would be nice for my pocket change. Do you plan on releasing your content on here only from now on? Is that why I got in game alerted abt this? Humor me here & throw me a bone homie. ANYONE OUT THERE HUH? Download the latest version of Basemental Drugs (7.15.191) - Gangs utilize the library from that mod and it needed updating.

I am having issues with the phone and gangs tab. I am unable to buy drugs (some drugs that is) and manage crew over the phone. When using phone to manage gang/crew, the screen pauses and nothing happens. Not sure what is causing it. I am getting an exception error all the time...just wanted to let you.

Then you might not have updated it properly, or you have duplicate files from old versions of the mod in your Mods folder which might cause a bunch of havoc. I'd advice you to head over to the support channel on the Discord server if you need some help with this.
