Opportunities
- Inspector opportunity back for Simkuza and Cosa Simstra
- Tubba Sharks opportunity back for the street gangs
- Fixed so Tubba and Inspectors can enter locked HQ doors
- Added 3 new opportunities for each gang
- Added new NPC's for the new opportunities
- Various complexity and outcome for new opportunities
Drug Pushing
- Gang members can now push all strains of weed
Other
- Moved Gangs pie menu to front page
- Replaced one graffiti piece for Newcrest Thugs
- Gang leaders now less prone to get scared of stuff like thunderstorms
- Fixed a bunch of string table entry errors
- Minor tuning improvements to bodyguards
Opportunities
First of all the rare opportunities has been added back to the mod. That is the Cosa Simstra and Simkuza inspectors, and the Tubba Sharks opportunity for the two street gangs. Play these right and you might end up with a bunch of Simoleons.
Secondly there are 3 new opportunities added to each of the gangs, which involve the NPC's I ran a naming poll on based on your suggestions. I really don't want to reveal anything about these opportunities, all I can say is that some of them are quite complex in terms of outcome, and took a lot of work to get right.
But since we are on the topic of that naming poll, here are the winners:
Asian Gambler: Johnny Zhao (suggested by Stunna447)
Corrupt Politician: Mathew Wiseman (suggested by Sam Taylor)
Other
Read the changelogs for the other changes, all of them should be self explanatory. The only change I want to elaborate on is the changes to sending gang members out to push weed.
Previously you needed 6 bags of each strain. I've added more strains since then, and I've not only added those new strains, but you can now send out 6 bags of any strain. Meaning if you have 3 bags of OG Kush, one of AK-47 and two of Sour Diesel it will work.
Note: There might be some weirdness happening with the hybrid strains here still until the next version of Basemental Drugs drops as I needed to correct some tags for the ziplock bags there as well.
Venue List
To make sure this works you need to download the updated venue list provided in this post. If you have Basemental Gangs installed, I recommend installing this venue list in a separate folder directly in your Mods folder called: Basemental Venue List
If you already have this Venue List installed from the previous venue list update you don't need to update it.
Choose one of these 2 installation methods. Not both.
Basemental Gangs Installer (WINDOWS ONLY)
- Delete all the old Basemental Gangs files from your Mods folder.*
- Download this Basemental Gangs.exe file.
- Run the Basemental Gangs.exe file.
- Delete your localthumbcache.package
* If you installed from the installer previously, you can delete the old files by launching the file called unins000.exe in your Basemental Gangs folder.
Basemental Gangs Zip (WINDOWS OR MAC)
- Delete all the old Basemental Gangs files from your Mods folder.
- Download the Basemental Gangs zip file.
- Unzip the Basemental Gangs zip file.
- Place the files in a folder titled Basemental Gangs in your Mods folder.
- Delete the Basemental Gangs zip file.
- Delete your localthumbcache.package
NOTE: This mod is an add-on to Basemental Drugs, and it requires Basemental Drugs to work. It also requires the Get To Work expansion pack.

I’m assuming I must be doing something wrong.. because I can’t get the gangs mod to pop up in my game at all. The problem is I have had the mod before and had no problem with trying to get it to pop up but now it downloads and then the icon actually doesn’t even pop up in the phone menu. Then I tried the lot traits that we used to have to use, and those didn’t pop up either. What am I doing wrong? I’ve already used your application to install it to my computer.

When running the exe file Your PC will tell you that Microsoft Defender SmartScreen prevented an unrecognized app from starting, this is normal as the exe file is not signed with a code signature, but I can guarantee you it is not harmful for your computer. What you need to do is click “More info” and “Run anyway”. If you are still using 3rd party antivirus software, for whatever reason, it might throw a fit over the file over the same reasons specified above, to circumvent this you can pause the antivirus software prior to installing. Alternatively you can not download the exe file and install it manually from the zip file.

when i try to download my computer is saying it thinks this could damage my computer?

AFAIK that is a base game bug. They introduced something where you could burn compost in the toilet with the Eco pack. For some people this has glitched out big time and the toilet starts spouting out flames every time someone uses it. Apparently it's harmless, but I bet it's annoying

No. Honestly no idea what you are talking about with combusting toilets, but I’d advice you to get in touch with support on my Discord server either way. Links in the post. Perhaps some of the support team knows what you are talking about

I don't know if this is just happening to me but since I installed this update, my sims toilets spontaneously combust while using them. Would this happen to be a leftover April fools file?

Yes . You are not alone in this issue. The sims cannot route to hookah. I was able to inform the creator of the CC I have been using. but there has been no fix as of yet.

Has anyone else had issues to where you cant use the hookah if you place custom cc chairs for it? I did the whole update with S4S for the dining chairs and bar stools but they for the living chairs and I have no clue how to get in touch with them to let them know
