CRUCIAL UPDATE 27 JAN:
The Paranormal Stuff Pack required a new Venue List for the Haunted House to show up in all regions. Redownload the Venue List package from this post and replace it with the old one.
Changing World
- Changed prices on a regional basis
- New MDMA batches on the streets
Party Planner Aspiration
- Added new setting for Age Restriction
- Added new setting to cancel upcoming event
- Added bartenders to venues
- Reworded trait rewards on ended aspiration
- Security will now stand by the door if a door is on venue
- Drug Dealers will hang around the bar area
- Security scolds fighters and sends them off lot sooner
- Festival complete now says "Festival Complete" not "Rave Complete"
- Fixed minor glitch for rotational saves
- Dealers, Promoters and DJ's can no longer be Ravers or Festival Goers
- Fixed glitch with NPC's not spawning in more than 1 Sim Households
- Better and more versatile autonomy for Rave/Festival guests
- Fixed a glitch causing simulation lag
- Party Planner trait will let you host events without the Aspiration selected
- Disabled social autonomy for security and DJ's
- Special aspiration NPC's are now hidden from relationship panels and pickers
- Clubbers will now have priority to get picked as guests for Raves/Festivals
Other
- Fixed bug where Sims with ADHD couldn't do... bathroom stuff
- Changed several buffs mood to the new Scared mood
- Enabled Eco Hacks option for Mt. Komorebi
- Enabled legalize weed option for Mt. Komorebi
- Added new default Police Officer NPC instead of random Sim
Party Planning Aspiration
As you can see from the change log there are some serious improvements and bug fixes that comes with this, lets just quickly touch in on some of them.
Age Restriction Setting
When planning a Rave or Festival you can now set the minimum age for the event, it will still default to the Teen value, but you can change it whenever you want prior to hosting the event to Young Adult in the same menu where you plan for the event.
Cancel Event
Say you wanted to host a Rave on a Monday, but you misclicked and hit Festival, and you have to wait until the weekend. Now you can undo your mistake by canceling the event from the Party Planning menu.
Party Planner Trait
The trait you get as a reward for finishing the aspiration will now allow you to keep planning and hosting Raves or Festivals, even without having the aspiration as your active aspiration. Which is basically the trait reward.
Other Changes
Most of the other changes are outlined in the change log above and will hopefully make the events feel like a more fun and fluent experience.
Police Busts
If you haven't assigned a Police Officer NPC in the Basemental Settings, the game will now spawn one based on a template that isn't randomized with weird eyes and outrageous haircuts. That is, this guy...
You can still assign your own Police Officer NPC, and whenever the cop does show up to bust someone your selected NPC will always take priority in being chosen for the job.
Venue List
To make sure this works you need to download the updated Basemental Drugs venue list provided in this post. If you have Basemental Gangs installed, please delete that venue list and install this one instead, I recommend installing this venue list in a separate folder directly in your Mods folder called: Basemental Venue List
The reason I don't recommend you having it in your Gangs folder is that I will keep the venue list separated from the Gangs mod from now on, as it doesn't make sense uploading a whole new version of Gangs just due to some minor changes to that Venue List.
Choose one of these 2 installation methods. Not both.
Basemental Drugs Installer (WINDOWS ONLY)
- Delete all the old Basemental Drugs files from your Mods folder.
- Download this Basemental Drugs.exe file.
- Run the Basemental Drugs.exe file.
- Choose which Optional Packages you want included.
- Delete your localthumbcache.package
Basemental Drugs Zip (WINDOWS OR MAC)
- Delete all the old Basemental Drugs files from your Mods folder.
- Download the Basemental Drugs zip file.
- Unzip the Basemental Drugs zip file.
- Place the files in a folder titled Basemental Drugs in your Mods folder.
- Delete the Basemental Drugs zip file.
- Delete your localthumbcache.package

This mod is amazing! But I do have an issue with the festivals. It starts off well but then halfway through all the guests walk outside and just gather out front of the venue. Also the festival doesn’t end on its own sometimes. Any advice? Again your mod is awesome thank you!!!

Hey! :) I got a last exception in my game and when i when on LE Assistant it says "Tunable Game Resource with name 'Basemental:BuyDrugs_Doctor_SuperInteraction' contains incorrect/outdated information." i'm not sure if its just my game/computer or something broken within the mod.
Hey! Im having trouble growing weed in my game. It was working perfectly fine before you had added new strains but now my plants aren't producing any buds no matter where I put the plant.

Hey i just wanted to touch base and ask if i might be doing something wrong? When I go to download the venue list, it wont let me because "I don't have an app" to open the download. I have the old venue list downloaded which is the confusing part. Not sure why it's not downloading all of a sudden.

You should delete Sam's venue list at least, as you can only have one in your Mods folder at any given time, and mine includes all of her custom venues as well

Not sure what you mean about "the female cop". You can assign your own cops through the Drugs settings, if you assign a female one she will get priority in busting Sims. If you set the police bust Settings to hard and your dealing skill is low you will see more frequent police busts. However, I am looking to overhaul police busts and SWAT raids further quite soon.

I have the same question. (I tried to ask on discord, but it said I couldn't because we aren't friends yet. I still don't quite get how it works... digressing...) Ksuihuh always say to delete your venue list, but perhaps yours is more up-to-date while More buyable venues has more options?
