Animations
Sitting Animations
Usually I don't tend to elaborate on bug fixes in this section of the Patreon posts, but this calls for some additional highlighting. Ever since the sitting while smoking animations were introduced there has been an issue with some chairs, like the barstools. Previously they would glitch into the chair.
I am happy to bring the news that all chairs are now fully compatible with the smoking animations. This applies to both tobacco and cannabis smoking, and includes bongs, vaporizers, blunts and joints.
The animations were originally made with couches or chairs in mind, so there might still be some clipping with the upper part of the body at times when the Sim leans forward towards a surface like a bar for instance. But compared to the former version of the animations, this should be negligible.
Scenarios
Last version I added a couple of scenarios. I did the same thing for this release, and I will try adding a couple new ones for some releases going forward. The two I added last time has now been taken out and the two new ones are in.
The idea is to keep no more than two scenarios in per release. Once I have created enough of them I will bring them in rotationally. This brings the added challenge of completing them in time before the next version of the mod is released.
Drug Dealing
Selling drugs has gotten a bit of an overhaul this version. The biggest change to dealing is that the fluctuating Changing World prices are also reflected in drug sales. What this means is that if you sell drugs in an expensive region, you will get more cash than when selling in a region with cheap or normal prices.
If you are selling in an expensive or cheap region, the menu will let you know as shown in the image above. Your dealing skill level will always factor into the equation, meaning a higher skill level will always net you more profit per sale.
Discuss Drug Market
This feature has also gotten a bit of an overhaul. First of all you can now ask your clubber friends as well as your NPC dealer about the Drug Market to get updated on cheap or expensive regions.
The other game changer is that you don't get a random answer for a region, drug and price, but you can rather specify which drug you want to know more about.
This will make buying and selling drugs way more interesting as it will guide you towards buying in cheap regions and selling where it is expensive.
This social interaction comes with a cooldown of a few hours, however, so choose wisely which drug you need to get updated on.

To make sure this works you need to download the updated Basemental Drugs venue list provided in this post. I recommend installing this venue list in a separate folder directly in your Mods folder called: Basemental Venue List
Choose one of these 2 installation methods. Not both.
Basemental Drugs Installer (WINDOWS ONLY)
- Delete all the old Basemental Drugs files from your Mods folder.*
- Download this Basemental Drugs.exe file.
- Run the Basemental Drugs.exe file.
- Choose which Optional Packages you want included.
- Delete your localthumbcache.package
* If you installed from the installer previously, you can delete the old files by launching the file called unins000.exe in your Basemental Drugs folder.

Hey Basemental longtime fan of your content. I took a hiatus from TS4 for a bit and came back to see you added some great new features. I was curious about the Mt. Komorebi strain of bud? Was that a temporary piece of content? I enjoy having a sim as a master grower, splicing strains to create hybrids, but wanted to know if I'm missing something? TL;DR Is the Mt. Komorebi/ Thai sticks item or event gone? And are there other strains or hybrid combos other than the ones that can be bought on the DW?

Love the update!! could you maybe in the future make a feature that makes you able to turn yourself in? a weird idea, but I think it would help the people who are trying to get the prison OG trait quicker than waiting to get caught and perhaps it could reduce the sentencing time and clear the records a bit better than actually getting caught, for that extra realism.

I had one small request, I was wondering if there was a way we can choose the scenarios we download in the future because I was working through the cannabis one, and it deleted the scenario when I downloaded the new mod. I dont often have time to play often enough to complete a scenario if it wont save and let me play later. I was just wondering if this would be considered in the future, to have the scenarios available separately? or at least to play them after they are removed like the other scenarios?

You need to have a good relationship with those sims to talk to them about drugs. Talk to them about drugs a few times, and then you get to "Seal the Deal" and are able to sell drugs to them.

The cocaine purchase menu is supposed to appear. But you are also supposed to be able to sell to them. Whenever you assign a high level client they will also be assigned the Cocaine Dealer trait, so every Sim, including your dealer can buy ziplock bags from them. That purchase menu is not what the issue was about, it was rather the fact that high quality bricks did not show up as sellable items if you didn't have a lesser quality brick in your inventory as well.
