🕑 Added 2019-12-13 08:21:40 +0000 UTCI was hoping that this next Patreon release would include the Adderall feature I've been working on, but since Maxis just dropped a bugfixing patch I needed to fix the syntax changes that came with that patch and rather rush out this release first. Other than the syntax changes there's some new stuff as well (that was supposed to be included in the Adderall release), and this time around it is really important that you read the changelog and how-to's, especially regarding the changes to NPC Drug Dealers.

- Cleaned up a bunch of script functions

- Added tweaks to curing jars to reduce frequency of curing glitch
- Fixed incompatibility with MAL22's "Expanded Mermaids"
- Fixed String Table error in Settings > Police Picker

Drug Dealers
This is something I've wanted to do for a really long time, and finally sat down to sort it out last week.
Instead of the Drug Dealer trait taking up a CAS trait and the game generating a bunch of random dealers, I've moved that feature into Settings > Assign NPC's.
Simply click on any Sim, through the Drugs menu click Settings > Assign NPC's > Drug Dealer, and from there you can choose to Assign Drug Dealers or remove allready assigned Drug Dealers.
You should now get a list of all Sims in your game world, apart from special NPC's like the ones that comes with BMGangs, assigned shamans, police, SWAT members and so on and so forth.
This is also useful in terms of getting a quick overview of who your in game dealers are, in case you have forgotten. Just click the "Remove Drug Dealers" button to get a list of all the dealers.
NOTE: This change will make it so your previous Drug Dealers now only have 2 CAS traits. To fix that, enter "testingcheats true" in your cheat console, then "cas.fulleditmode", now shift+click your dealers, modify in CAS and give them their third trait.
Buy in Bulk
Buying from Drug Dealers also work quite differently than it used to with this version.
The first big change is that you can buy all drugs in bulk. The second one being that all drugs you buy have different circumstances to test for.
Overall, the quality will depend on your friendship level. Say you want to buy cocaine from a dealer you have just introduced yourself to. Your only available option will be an average quality ziplock bag.
Once your friendship level increases the average quality will get replaced by higher quality, and if you are starting to deal cocaine your prices will go down when your Cocaine Dealing level goes up.
This next screenshot is the same purchase picker menu as above, the only difference here is that our friendship is at around 65% and our cocaine dealing level is at level 10.
And last but not least, when buying MDMA from NPC Dealers, I've added some small ziplock bags with 10 pills along with the regular pill jar.
The type of pills you can buy will vary for each day of the week. Other than that buying MDMA works largely like with the cocaine example above, you get reduced prices with higher MDMA dealing skill, but these are more in line of what is described in the MDMA Dealing Skill rewards.
NOTE: The bulk buying only works when buying from NPC Dealers.
- Delete all the old Basemental Drugs files from your Mods folder.
- Download this Basemental Drugs zip file.
- Unzip this Basemental Drugs zip file.
- Place the files in a folder titled Basemental Drugs in your Mods folder.
- Delete the Basemental Drugs zip file.
- Delete your localthumbcache.package

Hi, my sim is unable to buy drugs from dealer. There's a yellow outlined box that pops up with pink circle in blue box...no options to buy in bulk. Can u help please??

It's no longer a CAS trait. Click on any sim you want, go to Drugs, then options. There should be a list of where you choose to assign the dealer trait.
hey! i love this mod, so first of all, thank you. i just joined as a member and redownloaded but the drug dealer trait isn't showing up in my game. is there a way to fix this?

Hi, I don't know if I'm supposed to ask this here but f*** it, I'm trying to sell "a boatload of yayo" to Tubba Sharks and I get all the way to conclude the meeting and then nothing happens. Am I doing something wrong or is something broke because my sim is after buying 5 bricks of coke lol
would love to see traits that you can become addicted easier. some people it runs in the family or are more prone for addiction.

I don't think cocaine is addictive. It's the most serious drug, and I think we need a more dramatic addictive expression.

I am not playing with legacy, but anytime I try to replace a member in a gang it doesn't do anything... also gives me no options anymore other than to plan outfit since updating BMD :(
I keep getting an error too and I don't have Legacy...Also, I cannot select the dealer trait. It doesn't even show as an option :(

The mod is not and will not be supported for legacy, unfortunately. I can only make sure to keep the mod working with the latest and most up to date versions of the game, due to all the syntax and script changes Maxis introduce with every new patch. Legacy is a bunch of versions behind, meaning that the updated versions of the mod with the fixed scripts and syntax changes will throw errors with legacy as it is basically an old version of the game.

You don't need to replace BMGangs for this update. This is only an update for BMDrugs - They are two different mods. So, to be clear: don't touch BMGangs :)
