Poll Ended (Thoughts and conclusion)
🕑 Added 2018-09-29 20:22:01 +0000 UTC So, the results of the poll turned out to be quite different than I expected. Which in all honesty is a good thing. It is a first for these polls where the numbers have been so tied. Especially the "Way too often" and "Just the right amount" bits.Seeing that there wasn't one of the option that turned out to be overwhelmingly positive, I have decided to rather adjust a bit how this all works. I am currently working on implementing this, and I reckon I should have this new version up and running by Sunday or Monday. (The new update will feature a bunch of cool stuff I can't wait to share with you all, btw!)
This is how I envision the new Customers Calling system:
Weed Customers
- Days: Monday through Sunday
- Calling times: from 11AM to 11PM
MDMA Customers
- Days: Friday through Sunday
- Calling times: Around the clock
Speed & Cocaine Addicts
- Days: Monday through Sunday
- Calling times: Around the clock
Speed & Cocaine recreational users
- Days: Friday through Saturday
- Calling times: from 3PM to 4AM
I have started working on it and tested out how it works for weed and cocaine, and so far I am liking how it feels. With weed you don't get the annoying 5 AM calls. With cocaine (assuming you have a large customer base) you get the occasional cocaine addict or two that calls in the middle of the night, and the frequency of calls and variations of customers pick up when you are getting closer to the weekend. It all feels a lot more realistic, basically.
Also, if you have someone calling you constantly it makes more sense using the "Remove Client" option when talking to them, this will obviously remove them completely from your list of customers, so if you want them back on after they kicked the habit, wait a couple of weeks, give them a call and invite them over and put them back on the list.
I hope this will be something that everyone can live with. Personally I noticed that it felt a lot more realistic when trying it out in the early stages of it. Looking forward to get you guys feedback on it as soon as it's implemented.

I appreciate that some people might like that, I just found it overwhelming and frustrating. My sim had 5 cannabis clients and all of them would call every day. Thank you for adding the mute customers phone option in the latest release. People say Mary Jane isn't addictive, but my sim clients are making me wonder about that. :P

Which is also very much intentional, and a realistic approach to it. The new fix will hopefully be even more realistic, though :)

Right now it seems like my sim gets called at least several times a day. Between the holidays invites, people you're dating and having more than one drug client, the phone is ringing almost non-stop for me.

Only thing missing is the idiot customers getting you busted. Banging on the window of the house and shouting, 'DUDE! I need to score!' Next thing you know, swat team... so I hear.

This will only happen if your "weed sim" also has the cocaine dealer trait and the sim who is calling is a cocaine customer and has at least a 15% friendship level with your "weed sim" - If you are saying that it happens without those things present, it might be a case of you needing to clear your caches. Although there is literally nothing in the tuning files that points towards what you just described should be able to happen

Maybe look for who call who, bc I have a sim who only sell weed and another who only sell cocaine, some time the “weed sim” has a cocaine customer call
