Alrighty, the moment you all (or at least some.. or.. a lot of you) been waiting for. Sitting animations for blunt and joint smoking. The standing animations for these are also new, and your Sim won't get up to an awkward standing position if you try to smoke one while seated any longer. After a few complaints the bongs will now appear back in your Sims inventory after smoking them, as well. So there is that.
How it works
Holiday Tradition
For those of you that plays the game with a different language than English, the string tables are now fixed so you will get to read the text for the smoke weed holiday tradition now.
Cannabis
2 new animations. Not much to that, really. Courtesy of Mike24.
Note: the animation has been made with couches in mind. It will look weird when smoking while seated on a dining chair next to a dining table (but who does that anyways?)
Second note: The animations will most likely be further updated with lighting up with the zippo lighter, the animations for this were not good enough as they were previously I think, so this also needs to be overhauled.
There were a few issues that had to be sorted out with the bong, most of which I won't bore you with, but the main one being that I tried to implement it to spawn at a nearby location after smoking a hit in the last update. A few of you didn't like that, and some of you also reported on it spawning in the household inventory if you smoked the bong away from your homelot, so now it will spawn in your Sims inventory after a hit. Like it used to.
Plants
Last version I made the plants in season all year around. You guys informed me that as long as they are sheltered you can grow them inside all year round, so that last change turned out to be quite unrealistic. Therefore I made them in season Summer and Spring this time around.
Installation Instructions
- Delete all the old Basemental Drugs files from your Mods folder.
- Download Basemental Drugs v1.3.7.52
- Unzip Basemental Drugs v1.3.7.52
- Place the unzipped files in your Mods folder.
- Remember to delete your localthumbcache.package
- If you experience issues with Buying or Selling - place both of the files directly in your Mods folder.
- Any other issues, get in touch at my Discord Server
- Enjoy the drugs

I have script mods and cc turned on. I have the newest version but there isn’t a drug dealer trait nor buildmode objects

Mod is going splendid for me. Just wanted to point out that the option reads as "Share Blunt (Purple Haze" when you click on others to share a blunt with. It's missing the closing parenthesis. I also have a somewhat weird request if you could put the weed plants back to the seasons you originally had them in when you first released it (Summer and Fall) because this is more realistic than spring and summer. My plants are dormant in autumn in game, when they would be budding and ready to go IRL.

I'm still having trouble with the Harvest All option on the cannabis plants. My sim keeps picking between two plants and not harvesting anything. I also tried replanting everything and the problem only goes away for a while. The problem doesn't seem to happen with vanilla plants.

Could be an old pirated version of ts4, a wrong installation of the mod or an out of date mod/cc that messes with the mod. If you head over to my discord server I’m sure we’ll figure it out

Ever since the update i am not able to purchase anything. i invite the shamon over and get no options but settings.

Just keep your game uptodate with the latest patch at all times and you shouldn't run across any problems. The latest patch is PC 1.44.88.1020/ Mac 1.44.88.1220

This has probably been asked but is it possible(or plans) to incorporate the bubbler/hookah from city living with this mod to be used with smoking weed ?

No, you cannot :) I am meaning to take another look at it, but for now it's a semi-fix to not dealing to the same household as that would generate an infinite money and drugs generating loop
