Hey friends,
Almost Xmas!!!
Next big series would be about learning how to art direct and problem solve the new simulation/cloth system in Cinema4D.
I decided to break down actual projects/rnd that we see from time to time in Houdini and explore how possible and at what degree we can reproduce them in Cinema4d. I must say that from s26 to 2023 cloth had huge improvements (but more on that later).
Case studies from Future Deluxe, OnandOn, Buck and others plus my usual mumbling about Octane and art direction.

export as alembic and then time remap it. C4d has no native remapping tools just yet !

it was a pleasant surprise i must admit :) c4d behaves very well in 90% of cases i tried. I think this xpbd that they use is also what is used in vellum. Only issues i found so far is with advection which i cannot control well

mmm i guess one of the tuts will be ready in a few days, then im taking a break and be back from next year. Trying to squeeze and a houdini tut for xmas but not sure as im working next week on a last minute gig.
