Train your own AI models (VIDEO TUTORIAL)
🕑 Added 2023-03-09 21:00:02 +0000 UTCHello friends!
This month on top of everything else, me and my buddy Vincent decided to do tutorials for each other's Patreon!
For those who do not know him, Vincent Schwenk is one of the coolest and greatest designers with a distinct style. His work has been really influential for my stuff as well.
Here are his handles:

And here is the link for the GUI: https://nmkd.itch.io/t2i-gui
Let me know in the comments below what you think!
Many thanks!

I tought Vincent mentioned it in the video, but here it is: https://nmkd.itch.io/t2i-gui. I'm not a great fan of this AI stuf, but we have no choice then to evolve with it. Doesn't mean I will stop creating 'the manual way'. Way more fun :-)

You can also treat it as tumblr/pinterest on steroids for references. I think as a reference, this will improve our work pretty well.

this is very cool!

That's about how I feel about AI as well. So many cool AI tools and it is extremely impressive what they can do. But only slightly more exciting of a feeling than filling out a spreadsheet. It's fun in a meme kind of way. Cool for a few seconds and then I don't really care to look at it ever again. Even though I supposedly "created" it. I really hope to never have my job reduced to "prompt engineering".

Yes, its what Vincent says in the beginning : we are safe haha. Plus he makes a great point about him wanting to play around till something clicks. I totally relate in everything. I also find no joy in not creating. For that reason I will never use AI even if it makes me look like a fool one day lol

oh man haha sorry i dont have any more info about that I need to ask Vincent and hes sleeping atm :)

Thanos can you post the link to the GUI so we can give it a whirl.. I actually have a presentation on Ai in the morning haha go figure so this would be something I’d like to mess around with if I can before hand

Hmm respectfully the results were kinda shit.. and not that they weren’t decent sometimes but it was abstract input to abstract output - honestly I can’t really see a direct correlation to any real world scenario where any of those outputs would’ve worked for anything. THAT SAID - definitely opened my eyes to a cool new api I had no clue existed. I think there is potential when training a model to specific references and I’m definitely going to try it out. I think you did a great job showcasing strengths and weaknesses my point above is mostly in reference to telling an Ai to be creative with little to nothing aside from the model data input and a few bias sliders - the click attempts were not nearly as nice as any of the referenced model data itself. In my mind I see it being huge in a way to really push an idea but also I’d be curious to see if it can define something specific at all - say soft body letterforms within the newly trained model. Definitely something very interesting I’m going to look into - but I’ll chalk your actual renders up for the win any day! 🤘
