Complex flowers part6 (VIDEO TUTORIAL)
🕑 Added 2022-10-07 16:35:35 +0000 UTCSame approach but way more procedurally in newest Cinema4D 2023.
I think this is the best update since R20. While I haven't tested it in production just y et, I urge everyone to update.
This version introduces many new stuff that will change (in a much much better way) how we work in c4d from here onwards.
I hope you are as excited as I am :)

U are right, they should not intersect or cloth fails. I dont remember which but in one of the previous parts I show how i build this flower with cloner and step effectors to have a starting position of non intersecting. Its a manual process nevertheless
David
How don't you get intersection with the petals of the flower ? Because Im stuck with the petals intersecting and when I play the simulation with the pin animation my simulation gets fucked up right from the beginning and after 15 frames it's like if my cloth tag gets disabled, because of these intersections.

thank you!

WOW..! thank you motionfunk! you are great!!!! :)

Cheers Ryan! I just had the time literally now to test a lot of things regarding cloth and i sent a very big email to Maxon :) I dont want them move forward with other stuff without finalising cloth/soft bodies/rope as they are close but not quite there. And yes, in all fairness, especially for AD/Design work there is no reason to go to Houdini for cloth.

Really appreciate revisiting old techniques with new tools, and your transparency about what's still not working or could be better – it's really refreshing to hear versus all the "just quit C4D and start using Houdini already" crowd online 😎

thanks a lot! I made a lot of noise to be heard haha

Epic! Thanks for sharing your knowledge and well done Maxon for their update... I think they heard you ;)
Thanos Kagkalos
cheers bud! Cant wait for a new patch as there are unfinished stuff in this version with the vertex maps/selections
Hoi
Great stuff, can't wait to apply your knowledge to future projects!
Thanos Kagkalos
Thanks buddy! Ofc I will do more H vellum stuff. If you are primarly into that though, Paul Esteves' patreon is brilliant
Raf Stahelin
Hey, this is great im sure but sorely missing more of your Houdini vellum teachings. It was so brillant. I'm not into C4D :-)... I can wait 🙂
Thanos Kagkalos
ha let me know if u will!

I totally agree. I think this is the best release since r20

Love it! It's nice that more operations can be procedural. Very exciting times :)
