Complex flowers part1 (VIDEO TUTORIAL)
🕑 Added 2022-07-08 18:12:38 +0000 UTCHey friends,
First part of the flower creation series taking advantage of c4d's awesome mograph capabilities. I have many things to record still but covid caught up with me since last weekend. July didn't start so well here hehe.
Any questions, as usual hit me in the comments below.
I might not be super responsive as I am not able to spend much time on my computer just yet.
Cheers and stay safe!

I always have to rotate the bend deformer at least once before it works properly, but it is very useful!

haha yes this is super basic actually but now u know! So every object should have "correct" axis. What does that mean? Z is forward and Y is up. It should make sense also in relation with the object. Remember that Z axis is the axis that points "out" when u scatter/clone on any geo. Its a good practice before doing any operations to first fix the pivot. If u miss it though, in cloner transformations u can still manipulate it. But way easier to do it beforehand :)

this may sound super mograph noob of me, but i didn't realize that the axis orientation of the leaf (before the cloner) affects how it is oriented as a cloner on the stem. it was super frustrating following your exact steps and the orientation of my leaves looked different than yours and weren't rotating correctly when i applied the random rotation. it threw off the entire workflow moving on to the step effector rotations etc., so i spent a good amount of time manually fixing the axis on the leaf first in order to get it somewhat correct on the stem. do you have a process or any tricks/tips to help avoid that in the future? or is this something that's common to run into? or should i just accept that i AM a noob? lol

Thanks a lot mate

This is brilliant Thanos. Mograph is so powerful. Love how you pulled this off with no keyframes at all.

i have the same problem with Bend! i cant understand it
Thanos Kagkalos
haha not an idiot at all! As I mentioned is a ready leaf from forester or from taiao. U can also download any leaf from megascans. Other than that, on next tutorials I will go about procedural ways of modelling leaves :)
Pink Demon
I'm sorry for being that idiot but I wish you showed how to make the leaf

Glad u enjoyed it! Fields have so much depth. I made this series in such way that increases the complexity with every new tut. Keep watching :)

Thats awesome. I never used some of those Mograph stuff that you've showed on this one π€

This is so cool!

I will do more tuts and u ll decide whats best for u. As a first though based on my rnd, taiao lacks in animation offsetting but has more options for petals etc. Stay tuned as there gonna be multiple tuts on this series and then you will have a broad idea on what's better for your needs.

any thoughts on making something like this with Insydium Taiao

You ARE the KING!

thanks a lot buddy very kind of you! yes i think simple mograph in c4d can go a very long way once u push its buttons in the correct order.
