Chapter CXL Voribar’s Guild
🕑 Added 2022-01-01 16:18:37 +0000 UTCHappy New Years. May Kuwi bless you with cuteness!
Having spoken with Mizu, the pair were now headed for the local guild. They had already promised the young lady that they would look into what happened to her mate. As such, they were now headed for the guild. They needed more information on the quest that he took, information Mizu was unable to provide. Phyllis mentioned that while she had never visited the guild here at Voribar. She did have a membership with the national dwarven guild, as she had been in dwarven lands before. It should be enough to get what they need from the guild, and would even allow them to accept quests if they so desired. Although her new position as guild master of the Bordertown guild may have changed things a little.
Before long the pair entered the guild. Misaki immediately began to look around. While not the same as the guild in Bordertown, Misaki noticed that it had a roughly similar feel and a few similarities. A row of counters at the back, a few tables, and chairs. A quest board with posters neatly nailed onto it. Thanks to the hour, just like back home, the guild was practically deserted. She figured it would be busiest in the mornings when adventurers were preparing to set out and in the evenings when those that weren’t going far returned.
Misaki’s gaze however quickly paused when she swept over the quest board on the left wall. To be more specific her gaze was focused on a poster in the fourth row, third from the left. Her avatar’s vision was quite good, so even from the entrance, she could read it. The quest itself wasn’t anything special. It was from the local scholar’s guild, they were looking for anyone familiar with an ancient language. What drew her attention though were the words they had on the poster in that language. She wasn’t sure why, but she could read that language, and she was very concerned.
Suddenly Phyllis said, “Why are you staring at the quest board like you just ate something foul?”
“Cause some moron posted something they shouldn’t have.”
“Which quest do you have an issue with?
“Fourth row, third from the left.” replied Misaki as they moved further into the building. “Although it is less about the quest and more about what they are asking.”
“Phyllis frowned, as she stared at the quest in question, “And what was that?”
“They want someone to translate some ancient text. The problem is the sample. Its a curse, and a rather potent one. If someone is foolish enough to read that out loud...” Misaki trailed off, her point made. They both understood curses were not something to mess around with. Some could be dangerous, and others were pranks. Regardless they were more often than not trouble.
Phyllis tore her gaze away from the paper, a rather inquisitive expression on her face, “That does seem to be a problem, but may I ask what does the curse do?
“As strange as it might sound it’s a Celestial curse, that disintegrates clothing, lolifies people, and if I understand properly sprouts a flower in their hair.”
Phyllis’s expression changed in that really cute way when she was really confused. “A flower? How in the infernal planes does that relate to the rest of the curse. Not to mention what kind of Celestial curse strips people naked?’
Misaki shrugged, “No idea. I’m not an expert on them.”
Phyllis glanced back at the paper. Frowned then her expression lit up. Hurriedly she reached into her pocket and pulled out a small card. “I completely forgot to give this to you. I had it made before we left, just in case you needed it.”
Misaki took it, and looked it over. She quickly recognized it as a guild card. Before she could ask what it was for, Phyllis said, “Now this is a good opportunity. Why don’t you take that quest, while I ask around here. That card should make things easier. You might need a local membership, but with that card, getting one will be much easier. As it will allow you to side step most of the bureaucratic stuff.”
Misaki nodded, “yeah, I think I will do that” she muttered, and wandered towards the quest board. She was kind of curious why the quest was even there, and it might be interesting.
As it turned out, she did need a local membership at the Voribar guild but since she had a Bordertown guild card it took only five minutes to get it updated to also include a membership with the Voribar guild. After that, taking the quest was simple, and the cute receptionist gave her directions to the local scholar’s guild.
The scholar’s guild was a quaint stone building on the northside of town. The building looked like it had been sculpted out of solid rock. With lovely wood trim looking to have melded with the stonework. The roof was simple clay tile, like most of the other buildings in town. She had a feeling that a mage had done most of the work here at some point, and then at a later date the roof had been redone. Something she would later learn was correct.
Inside the building she was promptly greeted by a naked dwarf girl with a lovely violet flower in her hair. Who seemed quite happy when Misaki mentioned why she was here.
“Really!” she jumped over the counter, and practically dragged Misaki down a hallway. “We’ve been praying to the gods that someone, anyone would come by to translate the text we found.”
Okay perhaps overly excited was more like it. Misaki was starting to put together a picture of what happened, and asked the girl a question, “You read that text aloud didn’t you?”
The girl froze and looked over her shoulder sheepishly. “Um, well you see... what uh happened was...”
Then she trailed off completely. While fidgeting where she stood. Clearly not comfortable with the subject. Misaki sighed. Naturally, she had a few spells that would help, but didn’t feel like using them. So instead, she asked the girl to show her the text. Something the girl was only too happy to do.
The girl led her into a small side room. Where four other naked dwarf girls, all with flowers in their hair, were standing over a table. They had over a dozen books that they were pouring over. Misaki’s gaze was drawn to the ancient text in the middle of the table. It clearly showed its age, and gleamed in her eyes with the light of ancient preservation spells. The ancient text was a tome bound in leather, specifically dragon leather. The letters were the same as those found on the quest paper. A rare dialect of Ancient Celestial.
Not one of the girls noticed her come in though. A fact that gave her a moment to not only look over the text, but to also study their forms. All of them were cute lovely creatures. They weren’t identical either. Although Misaki was paying more attention to their flowers than their bodies. The tallest girl had a lovely pink flower, the one next to her had a cluster of three light blue flowers in her hair. The girl nearest to Misaki had a crown of lovely white flowers, and the last girl, who was lounging on a cushion in the corner, had two clusters of fiery red flowers arranged in her hair. That girl’s careless posture however also drew the eye to her other flower which seemed a bit puffy and somewhat moist, and was occasionally twitching. It seemed that one was rather aroused. The book that girl had must have been rather erotic, it was a surprise the girl didn’t have a hand between her legs. Although Misaki didn’t fail to notice the small enchanted gem stone nestled between her lower lips.
It was a shame she had other priorities right now, but maybe there would be a chance for some fun later. Misaki glanced back at the receptionist, and noticed her face was completely red. Her gaze locked on the one girl brazenly masturbating with the others none the wiser. Misaki’s vision dropped lower, and noticed her nipples had swelled and hardened a little, and the girl was now a little wet. Hmm, maybe there was a chance for a bit more fun than she first thought.
She shelved the thought, when she remembered what happened last time she had fun without Phyllis. While she really wanted to, Misaki didn’t want to face another jealous Phyllis incident. Well, not so soon anyway. Might be fun to do it deliberately, but her instincts said it was too soon for that kind of play. Best to bring them home, and play together.
Seeing as everyone was distracted, Misaki looked around the room. Quickly finding a pen, ink, and spare paper. Then she made herself at home at the table, and started translating the text. No one paid her any attention when the receptionist finally shouted. The resulting drama was certainly entertaining to the young lust dungeon however. The curse however was more interesting.
Mainly since it wasn’t quite what she thought, as the sample was incomplete. Most of the ancient text was just that, ancient text, but the sample from the guild was only half of the curse. She found the rest nearly on the third page of the text. The missing bit of text explained the flower bit, but she also noticed a line at the beginning that had also been omitted. This one wasn’t much, just a little trick spell meant to make sure the reader read the full text of the curse aloud, once they started. It wasn’t actually part of the curse.
Suddenly the drama died down, and she found herself looking up to find everyone staring at what she wrote down. A moment later the one with blue flowers on her head, said incredulously, “you actually translated that text?”
Misaki nodded, and turned the sheet around, “It’s a Celestial curse, in case you were wondering. It channels nature and the divine to ‘punish those that hide their gifts from the gods’. At least that’s what the text says about the curse, anyway. I’m afraid you would need the help of the god the curse draws its power from to undo it. Although this one actually draws power from several gods, only one of which I am actually familiar with. That one being Kuwi, Goddess of Cute girls. The other two, Uwik goddess of Nudity, beauty, and fertility and Tulis Goddess of Nature’s beauty. I haven’t heard of them before. Although the book is informative on those two, seems the entire text is a holy text venerating these three goddesses.
Their expressions morphed. None of them seemed happy to hear that the curse they fell afoul of was partially divine in nature. That kind of curse was difficult to undo after all. Especially when multiple gods were involved. She sighed, “I can help you get in touch with Kuwi. Although I can’t promise anything. I have a stronger connection with Dewari afterall, but she might be able to help find the other two.”
Then she gestured for the door, intending to lead them to the temple.

Happy New Year! Thanks for the chapter. Celestial curse to punish those, who hide their gifts from gods? Just how will current frigid modest Celestials with egos overblown with "righteousness" react to this?
