There have been two book-to-film adaptations of Dune, that I know of. One was the 80's movie (With Patrick Stewart and Sting!), and the other was a made-for-cable-television version, which went more in-depth with the book series than the older movie could. In my opinion, both were very good, for different reasons, and I'm looking forward to the newest adaptation, as well. 😃👍

I read Dune more than 20 years ago, and remember liking it a lot. But I have absolutely no memory of any of the characters or plot. So I’m really looking forward to the new movie, because I like the director, but also because I will be able to be surprised.

Alia...One of the most tragic characters in all literature..... Poor girl, her whole life was shitty because her mom drank the Water Of Life while she was pregnant with Alia. My heart breaks for her, imaginary character though she may be.....
