First Animation Line Work
🕑 Added 2020-02-16 15:28:13 +0000 UTCOk, this is the final line-work for the first animation I’ve done in decades, so it’s a little rusty, but I think pretty decent. I hopefully will only get better as we go along. While it’s technically a work-in-progress, this is the only animation that non-Patreon supporters will get to see (as a way to show what I’m doing); so if they get to see it, you do, too.
I’m currently working on cel-shading the colored version, and while it’s pretty tedious work, you all will get the colored version before the end of the month.

While the art style is uniquely yours, the movement of the animation itself reminds me a little of Ralph Bakshi's style, with little stop-and-go, jerky movements (the "jerky" pun on the subject of this art is unintentional...or is it???). And that is NOT a bad criticism; I've always really liked Bakshi's animating style. His animation seems realistic to me, because humans and other creatures do sometimes move in that manner, and not always the smooth, flowing way that some people like to think we possess and utilize at all times.
